5 Things Every Home Bar Must Have

Having a home bar is a great luxury to have. You’ll already be set for parties or if you just want a nice drink to wind down after the daily grind. Believe it or not though, a home bar does not actually come with all the trimmings. You have to look into those yourself. At a loss on where to buy contemporary bar stools? Don’t know what else you’ll need for a good home bar? Fear not, because here are the 5 things every home bar must have.
1. Bar Stools
When someone is having a drink, they need a place to sit, right? That’s obviously why good quality bar stools are important. You want your guest to be comfortable, after all. But what determines a good bar stool? You’ll have to consider whether you want real leather, faux leather, wooden, plastic, or even a gas lift pedestal. Do you want legs or no legs? These are all things you must consider when you’re shopping for bar stools. It’s all about your preference.
2. Jigger
Professional bartenders know the significance of being accurate when it comes to preparing a good drink. But this may not be apparent to everyone.  A jigger can help with accuracy. A jigger is an hourglass-shaped measuring device that ensures the accuracy of the beverage. There are different types of jiggers available as well.
3. Muddler
Muddlers are good for making Mint Juleps and Mojitos at home. For those that don’t know, a muddler is used to smash and mix cocktail ingredients. This tool is very easy to use and works much better than trying to use your hands.
Muddlers come in a variety of materials such as wood, plastic, and steel.
4. Two-Piece Shaker
Did you know that when you shake a drink doesn’t just chill the cocktail properly, but also ensures other benefits to the drinks as well? In fact, some drinks cannot even be made without a proper two-piece shaker. You wouldn’t want to miss out on a quality drink. Therefore, this is a piece that you’ll definitely want in your arsenal.
5. Bar Spoon
Your first thought may be: why do I need a special spoon for a bar? The answer is actually quite simple. A regular spoon is too short and too wide in order to properly stir a drink. If you want to kill two birds with one stone, choose a spoon with fork-like tines on the handle end. This will help with spearing cherries and getting olives out of jars.

There you have it. Have you heard of some of these items before? Were a couple of them unfamiliar to you? Don’t worry, that makes two of us if so. Though some of these tools may be lesser known, they all have very practical uses. You’ll certainly be able to up your bar game with these tools on hand. Just make sure your bar is also fully stocked with your favorite ingredients and some universal ones as well. Your bar will be sure to please everyone.
