A New Twist On An Old Classic - COOP Scatter Dodgeball Review & Giveaway

Summer break is officially upon our household and our biggest struggle becomes keeping everyone engaged and active throughout the break. Fortunately, this summer break I have a little help from Toy line COOP Sport, a pro at getting every member of the family moving, no matter their age, ability, or agility! 

Dodgeball day was always my favorite day in gym class. It got you moving, laughing, and gave you a chance to burn off that extra energy. In fact, in my opinion, dodgeball is the perfect activity to invoke fun competition and keep my kids active and moving, all while enjoy some outdoor time this summer.

COOP Scatter Dodgeball

COOP Scatter Dodgeball is no sting and all fun! A new twist on dodgeball keeps everyone moving and having a good time with a slightly different set of rules. Complete with a very soft, smaller sized dodge ball, foam die and colored wristbands, COOP Scatter Dodgeball can be played with 2 to 6 players.

Pick your color and put on your wristbands, players circle-up while one player rolls the dice ball. The player whose color matches the color the die lands on becomes the thrower for the round. Now the other players take off, or “scatter”, as the thrower for the round tries to tag them out by hitting them with the ball. You better dodge!  If a player is hit with the dodgeball they must give one of their wristbands to the thrower, but if they catch the ball, the thrower must give up one of his or her wristbands to the catcher. The next rounds go the same way and the first person to collect all wristbands wins! 

Sounds like fun, right? This weekend we enjoyed a family game of dodgeball, in which I was able to get my 16 year old on the same playing field as my 8 year old, and even my husband and I were out there ducking and dodging - we lost!
