My first task at hand was finding the right tools for the job, so to speak. I had previously obtained a lightweight vacuum that I thought would be a better for transporting up and down the stairs. Unfortunately, despite its powerful suction on carpet and small frame was still clumsy to transport up and down the stairs and didn’t pick up from bare floors the way I’d hoped. So, this spring I’ve turned to my absolute favorite vacuum brand for a little help.

What has stood out to me the most is the removable brush heads. As I stated earlier, I was having an issue getting my hardwoods really clean of dust and debris with my standard vacuum that turns the brush head off when it hits a bare floor. I never really thought about it, but that spinning brush head gets under debris helping to push it up. The Shark Rocket Powerhead has interchangeable brushrolls, which includes an All Surface Brushroll and Gentle Touch Hard Floor Brushroll.
Instead of simply turning the brush off on hard surfaces the Gentle Touch Hard Floor Brushroll along with the Shark Rocket’s power full suction, not only grabs and removes the top layer of dust and dirt, but the soft brush action helps pick up more even the more ground in debris. It’s a real game changer when it comes to cleaning hardwoods and does an impeccable job on carpets.
The only thing missing from this lightweight beauty is hand tools, but it’s slim frame and weight allow me to vacuum my stairs without the tools and it simply glides under my entertainment center while the edge suction gets along the walls and baseboard with ease. Its breakthrough engineering combines the motor and dust cup in the head of the vacuum, reducing airflow path and maximizing efficiency and power.
If you’re looking for an efficient, quality vacuum check out the Shark Rocket Powerhead. Even if the Shark Rocket isn’t for you, check out Shark. You don’t have to spend big dollars for a more than quality vacuum that works and has all the fun and fancy features of pricer brands.
Shark® Blast & Scrub 2-in-1
Spring cleaning with Shark doesn’t stop with the Shark Rocket Powerhead, the next step in my cleaning journey was a deep, sanitizing clean. For this I turned to the Shark® Blast & Scrub 2-in-1.
The Shark® Blast & Scrub 2-in-1 combines Blast & Scrub Technology that transforms the deep cleaning pocket mop into a powerful scrubber with concentrated steam as well as a handheld steamer for above the floor messes.
With 5 kids who are constantly calling the floor a play space it’s important to me to make sure they’re truly clean. The Blast 2-in-1’s steam boiler delivers super-heated steam to sanitize sealed hard floors, with a scrubber that vanishes stuck on food, dirt or debris.
While no one admits to it someone recently stuck some gum to the floor. Going over it with my traditional mop just made the spot stickier. My only option was to use a butter knife and try to pry it up without harming the floor. That didn’t work out quite so well either, but with a little steam power and scrubber the gum was gone in seconds!
The Shark Blast & Scrub 2-in-1 comes with all the tools you need to get the job done, whether it be cleaning the floor or using it as a handheld steamer to achieve a deep clean above the floor. I love to use this unit for a cleaner feeling in the bathroom. Cleaning the sink, around the toilet, or even blasting the shower tiles.
The Shark Blast Scrub 2-in-1 and Shark Rocket Powerhead are available at all major retailers nationwide, starting at $129.99 MSRP.
