We enjoy Cheerios® + Ancient Grains as a satisfying breakfast options, but with all that goodness, I wanted to incorporated them further into our day. And doing so was easy with this delicious snack mix recipe perfect for snacking at home, or packed in a little baggy for on-the-go snacking kids love!


Ingredients:
DIRECTIONS:
  1. In large microwavable bowl, mix cereal and almonds.
  2. In 2-cup microwavable measuring cup, microwave butter and honey uncovered on High 1 to 2 minutes, until mixture comes to a full boil and butter is melted. Pour over cereal mixture, stirring until evenly coated. Microwave uncovered on High 2 to 4 minutes, stirring every minute, until mixture is well coated and looks glazed.
  3. Stir in cranberries; mix well. Spread on waxed paper or foil to cool. Store in air-tight container.

I did not know Chex had a chocolate version of their cereal. That would be great to use in a Muddy Buddy recipe.

The ancient grains and tthe Chex granola mix would be great incorporated into a trail mix. The Nature Valley bars would be a great addition to any snack bag to eat on the go.

Mmm, I just pinned the Strawberry Shortcake Chex Treats. Those looks right up my alley! I can't wait to try them this summer. I might even have to try them before then.
