PACT Fair Trade Certified™ Organic Apparel Basics: Ethical Comfort

Times have changed and so have our feelings on the products we purchase. This back-to-school season I was introduced to a brand that I have no qualms about saying is quite possibly my new favorite in casual comfort and lounge wear for myself, husband, and even the baby.

PACT, an ethical and organic apparel basics brand, is making a difference by bringing you (and I) everyday basics in styles that are not just fun, but made with fabrics that feel oh so good on and are good for the environment. Their Non-GMO organic cotton is grown with care and lots of supervision from PACT, in the end leaving you not just feeling good in the clothes you’re wearing, but feeling good about where they came from!

I admit I have been stuck in the mind set for a long time that anything healthy or good for the environment must taste or feel bad. And no matter how many times I have proven myself wrong, I still insist on thinking this way. With that said, once again I was wrong (shocker)! My PACT leggings and tank are in fact the softest, most skin friendly pieces in my wardrobe, making them two of my most worn pieces from lounging around the house in comfort to running up to the store. I cannot express in words how comfortable I feel, while still feeling confident I look pulled together in PACTS great patterns and styles.

This summer PACT announced some big news! PACT is releasing one of the largest organic cotton Fair Trade CertifiedTM lines by a US apparel brand. The line features 78 different items across 19 product styles including the first ever Fair Trade Certified™ baby clothes!

The Fair Trade Certified™ apparel line is produced in a factory located in India that has been a leader in producing socially and environmentally responsible apparel. The line is certified by Control Union according to the standards maintained by Fair Trade USA™.

What is Fair Trade USA?

Fair Trade USA™, a nonprofit organization, audits and certifies transactions between companies and their international suppliers to help ensure that farmers and workers are paid fair prices and wages, work in safe conditions, protect the environment, and receive community development funds to empower and improve their communities.

The PACT organic cotton Fair Trade Certified™ line, is produced in a factory located in India that has been a leader in producing socially and environmentally responsible apparel. With every purchase of a Fair Trade Certified™ garment, PACT contributes a percentage of sales to a worker-controlled fund. Workers democratically vote on how to spend these funds which include a disaster relief for factory workers, a scholarship fund for workers' children, infrastructure improvements in their local communities, or a cash bonus.

PACT gives me that all around good feeling. I’m not just talking about how I feel in their clothes either. It’s awesome to see a company with environmental sense, who cares as much as their consumers and still stands up for the right and fair treatment of their workers. Next time your looking to freshing up everyday essentials from socks and underwear to leggings, tights, hoodies and the most adorable beanies and onsies for baby. Make sure your purchase makes a difference by purchase from PACT. And I promise, you will not be disappointed with the comfort level or quality in the products you’ll be receiving. I will be purchasing from PACT again (and probably again and again)!
