Prevent Unwanted Pests

Indoor pests, such as cockroaches, flies, spiders and ants, enter homes through tiny cracks, pipes and other openings in the structures. There are several ways to prevent bugs from getting into a structure by sealing small cracks, investing in window screens and other methods to insulate the home. Keeping food areas like the kitchen clean and placing food such as cereal and sugar in insulated containers will also prevent certain pests from entering.

Cockroaches, ants, flies and rodents are less likely to contaminate a home that doesn’t have food crumbs and open containers of food. The mattresses and sheets should be cleaned regularly to prevent bedbugs. Also, maintaining a clean home that has minimal clutter and items that collect dust will help to deter spiders from infesting the property.

Although you may have used a variety of measures to protect your home from uninvited creatures, you may still see flying insects and small bugs around the home, especially during the summer. Residents who live in areas with the warmest climates typically have more pest infestation problems than people who live in colder climate areas. However, pest infestation is still a problem for many people in different locations, if bugs and flying insects can enter the home easily.

When the issue becomes problematic to the point where basic sanitation methods have been proven to be ineffective, a pest control company, like Planet Orange will inspect the property to identify the type of bugs that are present and use high-quality products that will not only eliminate the infestation in the home, but also deter the small creatures from reentering the property.

If you’re concerned about finding the right pest control service that will effectively eradicate the problem, be sure to hire a company that is licensed in performing pest control services. Additionally, the employees should be knowledgeable about the different types of pests and which pesticides work best for each bug.

We get small ants in our home in the summer. We were told that if you spread flour along your doors and windows it helps keep them down. If that doesn't work then we are calling someone to help rid them.

Argh! I just went out into the garage to find what seems like a zillion piss ants all over the cat bowls! I have sprayed and sprayed until I am ready to scream! Sadly, I cannot afford to hire someone right now, but I'll keep them in mind.
