How to Hold a Princess Movie Night for Your Little Princess

Many parents cannot help but to treat their young daughters like princesses. Since there are so many princesses in today's media, many young girls want nothing more than to be a royalty. Fortunately, to help create cherished moments, here are 3 tips on how to hold a princess movie night for your little princess:

1. Buy decorations and a crown.

If you are preparing for a princess-themed movie night, buying decorations can add to the feel. For example, if you intend to eat treats, you can buy paper plates, cups, and napkins with princess characters on them. You can go even further and get balloons and streamers to decorate the living room with.

To create a special moment with your little princess, you can also purchase a plastic crown for her to wear. To complete the ensemble, you can additionally ask her to wear her favorite dress along with the crown.

2. Make cupcakes and cookies together.

To keep yourselves fed while watching movies together, you can make princess-themed cupcakes and treats. By decorating cupcakes and cookies, you will be able to match the princess theme that you put in place. For example, if you are watching The Princess and the Frog, you can create treats that look like cute frogs.

3. Choose the best princess movies.

There are a lot of princess movies out there to be enjoyed. However, many of them are more bland and do not provide the best examples for your daughter to follow. Fortunately, if you want princess movies with more substance and powerful characters, here are 3 popular titles (that you can get through services such as on the TV Local homepage):

Brave (2012)

Brave is an excellent movie about a princess named Merida trying to break old customs and find her own way through life. Unfortunately, in her haste, she makes a wish that results in a curse that must be undone before all is lost. It is a great story about the bond between a girl and her mother, and how it is important to just be who you are.

The Princess and the Frog (2009)

The Princess and the Frog generated a lot of excitement because it was the first traditionally animated movie produced by Disney in a good number of years. It is a beautifully animated movie revolving around a young woman named Tiana that dreams of following in her father's footsteps and opening a restaurant. However, she soon becomes involved with a curse that turns her into a frog, and must work with Prince Naveen (also affected by the curse) to put things right.

The Lion King 2: Simba's Pride (1998)

After the success of the first movie, Disney tried its hand at a sequel that follows the life of Simba's daughter, Kiara. As a princess, she has to one day become queen and rule over the Pridelands, although she does not want the responsibility. However, through meeting Kovu, a cub from the Outlands, she begins to learn about how she can still be true to herself while doing good for everyone as a whole.

With these 3 tips, you are sure to create great memories with your little princess that will last for years to come.

Oh how I love to have a princess-themed night with a daughter. But I have 3 boys and no girl yet. She'd surely love the Brave movie.
