New Honey Bunches of Oats Morning Energy & #MorningEnergy Cereal Bar #Recipe

Mornings are the busiest time of day in our household. Unfortunately, after we get the kids out the door in the morning, it’s my husband and I who usually suffer without breakfast or the energy needed for the day because time simply didn’t permit.

New Honey Bunches of Oats Morning Energy is a great addition to those rushed morning and since it’s packed with whole grains, protein and fiber, it really fuels your day. This satisfying cereal combines crispy whole grain flakes and crunchy granola clusters to deliver a nutritious, wholesome breakfast and is available in two varieties, Cinnamon Crunch and Chocolatey Almond Crunch.


As a fan of traditional Honey Bunches of Oats with Cinnamon Bunches I was excited to try the Morning Energy, Cinnamon Crunch blend. New Honey Bunches of Oats Morning Energy Cinnamon Crunch  has scrumptious cinnamon granola clusters, intertwined in its nutritious blend of whole grain flakes and rolled oats.

New Honey Bunches of Oats Morning Energy Chocolatey Almond Crunch had me at the word chocolatey. Combining chocolate morsels, almonds, granola bunches and tasty flakes this is a crowd pleasing option for the entire family – and it’s pretty good for you too! I absolutely loved new Honey Bunches of Oats with Cinnamon Cluster (as I thought I would) but my family was head over heels for the Chocolatey Almond Crunch.



My husband and I have been trying to take more time for a bowl of cereal  in the morning, and starting our day with new Honey Bunches of Oats Morning Energy has really given our days a jumpstart. However, there are mornings my husband is still flying out the door without beakfast, so I wanted to create an on-the-go treat, with this cereal, that he could enjoy on his way to work.


Morning Energy Cereal Bars

Morning Energy Cereal Bars #Recipe

Ingredients:
  • 2/3 cup honey
  • 2/3 cup crunchy peanut butter
  • ¼ cup Nutella
  • ¼ cup peanut butter
  • 2 tbsp. butter
  • 3 cups Honey Bunches of Oats Morning Energy Chocolatey Almond Crunch
  • 1 tsp vanilla

Directions:
In medium sized saucepan combine honey, brown sugar, Nutella, peanut butter and butter; bring to boil over medium heat. Stir often.
Remove from heat and mix in your vanilla and cereal.
Press mixture, evenly in an 8 by 8 baking pan, lined with parchment paper
Bake at 350 for about 15 minutes.
Cool completely, cut into bars and serve.
