What was your New Year’s resolution this year? Each year quitting smoking and losing weight top the resolution charts, and this year the CVS MinuteClinic is there to help. Last year, my resolution was to kick the habit and it wasn’t easy. Lots or emotional support was needed and I was someone who benefited from some prescription help. Unfortunately, while my primary care physician was able to briefly go over some options with me, it was of I found no real support from him.
|Disclosure: I participated in a campaign on behalf of Mom Central Consulting for CVS/pharmacy MinuteClinic. I received promotional items as a thank you for participating.|
If you’re struggling to quit smoking the MinuteClinic can help offering the assistance of a health-care provider, one-on-one consultations, a smoking cessation plan, educational materials and nicotine replacement when appropriate. Quitting smoking isn’t easy, but with proper education and a support system in-place, you too can lead a smoke free life. I wish this program would have been available to me (or that I would have known about it) a support system and personalized plan is something that could have benefited me greatly.
If your goal this year is to lose weight and live healthier, the MinuteClinic also has the support you need with a weight loss program that even accommodates the busiest of us. This personalized program includes coaching and medical supervision based upon the DASH diet. This program focuses greatly on healthy eating with the added benefit of helping to lower blood pressure and cholesterol.
These programs are just a start as to what the MinuteClinic has to offer. For someone like me typically looking for convenience on my time, The MinuteClinic has offered me superb service at every visit and is there for you year-round for all common illnesses and aliments.
You can find MinuteClinics in select CVS stores throughout 28 states and DC. Could one of these MinuteClinic programs benefit you in keeping with your new year goal?
