The first step to wearing gloves is knowing how to put them on and take them off. This may seem silly, but some people may not know how if they have lived in a warm place their whole life. Here are three easy steps for putting on gloves:
- Place your hand inside the glove.
- Slide your fingers into place by holding the cuff with your opposite hand.
- Smooth out the fingers, if the gloves are snug.
- Carefully pull at each finger tip until they are loose.
- With the opposite hand, grab the fingertips and pull your hand out of the glove.
How to Care for Your Gloves
After wearing your colorful gloves around town several times, you may need to wash them to get all the dirt and sweat out of them. Because of the material of the gloves, it is important that you hand wash them and that you do not put them in the washing machine. To clean your gloves, fill the sink or a bowl with cold water and a mild soap. Mix it around until it is somewhat bubbly. If you have any stains on your glove, you can spray it with a stain remover and let it soak for a little bit. Then you can place the gloves in the water and move it around with your hand. Squeeze the gloves gently in the water, and make sure you get it all clean. To rinse the gloves, run them under cold water or place them in some clean water. Gently squeeze the water out of your gloves by laying them flat on a towel and folding the other side over the gloves. When you press down, it will get most of the water out of them. You can then place your gloves somewhere to allow them to dry completely.
Choosing and matching your gloves to your outfit can be a fun process. If you know how to properly put on and take off your gloves, you will be set to go out in the cold. Your gloves will keep you warm and protected from the wind. Make sure you regularly clean your gloves in order to keep them nice and fresh.
