Live Shame Free with STAINMASTER PetProtect Carpeting #UnShameYourPet #MC #Sponsored

For an animal lover such as myself, our dogs really complete the family dynamic in our home. Meet my Spot and Bella, my two four-legged babies who have been with us since they were tiny puppies.

Disclosure: “I participated in an Influencer Activation on behalf of Mom Central Consulting for STAINMASTER. I received a promotional item as a thank you for participating.”
Our dogs really are part of the family, but as much as I love them, I hate the mess they’ve brought with them. Any long time reader of mine knows that I have been complaining for almost two years now about my carpeting. Now having four kids doesn’t help my carpet situation any, but my dogs have really pushed the pet stains to a whole new level! They have already created what I like to call their own private beach in my backyard and track half of it in with them every time they go out. And let’s not forget they’ve been a part of the family since before they were house broken, and like any dog, they still have the occasional overnight accident.

I've taken every measure to keep up with the stains as soon as they happen, but my carpet just doesn't measure up. After multiple steam cleanings (even by the professionals) the stains either remain or magically reappear! It also doesn't help that the scent is trapped in the carpet and padding (yuck) leading them back to the same spots to relieve themselves.

Last year we finally began replacing some of our flooring, but stopped after only two rooms. Why? Simply because I couldn't decide what the better option was. Wood would make cleaning those pet messes easier, and it would trap less pet hair making it a lot to manage. But with a 5th child on the way and four who already enjoy lounging on the floor while playing games, dolls, etc. new carpeting seems like a more comfortable, family friendly
option.

#UnShameYourPet Introducing STAINMASTER PetProtect Carpet

Late last year STAINMASTER introduced a new line of carpeting that could potentially solve the love hate relationship most pet owners have with their carpeting.

STAINMASTER PetProtect carpet and cushion system is a durable, easy-to-clean carpet that resists difficult pet stains and easily releases pet hair when vacuumed. This carpet and cushion system also helps reduce pet odor, when messes are cleanup in a proper and timely matter.

This carpeting could truly be just what we are looking for to give my pets the freedom they deserve without the embarrassing smells and stains on my carpeting. I had to put this carpet to the test myself, with our number one pet mess issue. Muddy paw prints!

This sample washed up with ease and in mere seconds. The ground in mud scrubbed clean without any effort and the surface dirt just wiped away despite me really smashing it in.

Could this be the end to pet shaming?

With its built-in stain and fade resistance, as well as the ability to retain its texture and protect against soil. STAINMASTER PetProtect Carpeting is now the front runner in our flooring dilemma. With proper care, this could be the carpeting to provide the comfort my family wants, the style I desire, and the pet-friendly cleaning capabilities that I must have.

Do you have pets and carpeted floors? What's the biggest mess you've had to deal with?

I have a bull dog. He is as cute as can be, but my living room carpeting is looking much like yours from him tracking in dirt and whatever else he collects in the yard. This is interesting carpet protection. When we are ready to replace it sounds like something I have look into.

We have a puppy in training. I didn't realise how tough it would be on my carpet. If this keeps up we will be checking into tile or this brand. Thanks for the testing.

We invested in a steam cleaner to clean up after our silly dogs, of course, it comes in handy with kids too. I plan on buying decent carpet when it is time to replace. I too have been thinking about hardwood but if I did that I would invest in a few area rugs to help trap the fur.

We have a cat who likes to tinkle on the carpet, so I will definitely get this when we get new carpeting. Thanks for sharing!

My carpets are ruined in the front room from my dog. He sometimes makes a mess on purpose! At least that is what I think. I have cleaned and cleaned up these stains and they do not go away. I like this new carpet, and sure could use it in my home!
