Ease the Swaddle Transition with the Zipadee-Zip {Review, Giveaway & Coupon Code}

There are few things that have changed since the birth of my daughter almost 7 years ago. And, then again, there are whole new lines of products that leave me thinking how ingenious.

Disclosure: Product(s) received to facilitate this review. Any opinions expressed are my own and yours may differ. Prize provided by Zipadee-Zip

When my boys were young swaddling was all about getting that technique down just right and then worrying half the night if they had come “undone” and their blanket was now in the way of their little faces. When Swaddlesacks hit the market I was left feeling complete – truth be told I’ve always been a horrible swaddler! With all the advice I’ve been given over the years not once did anyone mention how some babies become accustom to being swaddled. And when the day comes where they're unable to be swaddle or stay swaddle due to frequent movement, rolling etc. This could greatly impact their sleep pattern, leaving mom and baby less than happy.

The Zipadee-zip was created by mom Stephanie, who noticed this change in her child’s sleep pattern and was in desperate need of solution to help ease the swaddle transition. Before the Zipadee-zip there weren’t many viable options for swaddle transitioning. But Stephanie really has something with the Zipadee-zip.

What is a Zipadee-zip?

The Zipadee-zip is made for older babies (starting at around 3-6mths) whom know longer stay tightly swaddled at night, but still need that cozy feeling for a good night’s rest. It’s designed to keep baby tucked inside without need for loose blankets posing a threat, yet it allows more space for baby to move his or her arms and legs. In short, baby still feels snug and comfy, but has more freedom and you can rest easy knowing they aren’t becoming entangled in there blanket.

Since my little guy isn’t here yet, I think this video will help you get a better idea on how the Zipadee-zip looks and works.

With our warm Florida temps, I love the soft and light-weight feel to the Zipadee. It will be perfect over just a onsie for those warmer nights and also work well with a sleeper for the chillier nights. For those of you in colder climates you'll notice Zipadee-Zip offers heavier options like fleece and flannel Zipadees.

The Zipadee-zip is actually very versatile and can be used in many different ways, in and out, of the house.

SEVEN USES FOR THE ZIPADEE-ZIP:

1. Sleep – Aids swaddle transition and teaches self-soothing skills!
2. Travel – Encourages sleep and settling on long car or plane rides!
3. Dr. Office Visits – Eliminates tedious clothing changes!
4. Grocery Visits and Plane Rides – Provides a GERM FREE environment!
5. Breastfeeding – Prevents a baby from scratching themselves and momma!
6. Stroller walks or walks/rides in a sling or baby carrier – can be worn while buckled or strapped in!
7. MORE SLEEP! Aids transition to crib off of a swing, or rock and play sleeper and helps sick little ones get rest when they wouldn’t otherwise!

In what ways would a Zipadee-zip benefit you and your baby?

I've been wanting one for the last 2 months! My baby has been sleeping I. 1.5-2 hour intervals at night and I'm rubbing out of ideas of what to do. He wakes up if I leave his hands out because he likes to play with them and rub his face. The zipadee zip would (hopefully) solve this problem. Love the cute cars or owls print.

This would benefit me because we have a baby girl coming in February. I think this would be great because of the reasons you stated above, but also because with my first daughter it seemed like she was always scratching her face. I tried to keep up on her nails, but they grew so fast I would also love this to prevent that happening on our next little one!

I really need one of these. My daughter is too old to swaddle safely but often flings her arms during sleep and wakes herself up.

I have 4 month old twins, and we're hitting the end of swaddling success. Our daughter is too small for the Magic Sleep Suit, so I'm really interested in trying a different option! Since we're buying two of everything, free things are always a HUGE help!

I need to transition my 6-mo to arms-out because he's rolling himself over and getting stuck on his tummy, which makes him really mad! But, going cold-turkey on the arms-in sleep sack hasn't worked so far! I love the eLOVEphant in flannel for our chilly weather.

I think the biggest benefit is that babies little hands and feet will stay warm. I love the eLOVEphant in cozy stretchy FLANNEL! I think being stretchy is very important as it the flannel would be nice and cozy all night.
