There's a Garage in There Somewhere: Getting Organized for The Holiday's with The Brother P-touch Label Maker #Sponsored #MC

"I participated in an Ambassador Program on behalf of Mom Central Consulting for Brother P-touch. I received a product sample to facilitate my review and promotional item as a thank you for participating."”

Organization, where have you gone? As a kid, I was of course a mess. Cleaning my room consisted of tossing everything on the floor, under my bed or into the closet. At around age 15 I started to get very picky. Everything had a place and my organizational skills were really starting to shine. Fast forward a few years and a few kids later and I’m left wondering “how did I get so unorganized?” My holiday bins are all mixed up; my husband has tools and all sorts of man junk all over. And the kids toys! Forget about it. With a new baby on the way the pressure has only set in more. I need to get back to the place where everything has a spot and is clearly labeled for convenience. A place where I’m not left wondering “where did I put l that again?” My mission over the next couple of months is to reclaim my garage and attic, making room for baby.

Let’s Get Organized

I’m excited to share with you all that I am Brother P-touch Ambassador! I will be using my Brother P-touch PT-H100 label maker around my home to help in my organization efforts in preparation for the holiday season and our new baby.

Brother P-touch PT-H100

In the past I’ve used sticky write-on labels to try and keep organized, but had trouble with them adhering due to temperatures in my home, depending on what I was labeling and how it was being stored. My Brother P-touch PT-H100 will allow me to label with confidence featuring: durable, easy peel, laminated “TZe” series tapes, multiple fonts, designs, fast printing and even a mode for labeling my cables – imagine the possibilities!

Label Maker

With the holidays approaching faster than I can handle, my first job will be tackling my attic and garage. Even though I’m a little nervous to show it off, I’m going to give you a peek into my disaster area – don’t judge my mess!

There is a garage under that mess, somewhere!
As you can see my garage has become a toss and run room. I have Halloween décor mixed with Christmas, bags of outgrown clothes unmarked and with no real idea what is in them, and boxes of who knows what. These are all items that I’ve been waiting to sort through and get them back into their rightful place in the attic for future use. On the opposite side of my garage is all my husband’s stuff that he has been swearing he too was going to organize – 75 screwdrivers, but try finding just one when it’s needed.

Before I can get to labeling and organizing within the garage, I have to get into the attic. This is where I’ve stored all my baby items and holiday décor since we purchased our home. Unfortunately at some point, storage totes and boxes got mixed together and baby clothes are overflowing. I have no idea which totes I’ll need right away for baby and which can be stored until the toddler stage.

Yes, clearly I have a lot of work to do, but I am confident with my new, easy-to-use label maker by my side and this post to hold me accountable, I will again become an organized "professional" and a proud Brother P-touch Ambassador.

I am ready to take on my challenge and have an organized garage and attic, I can be proud of before the big holiday! And then I get to take all the fun of my label maker inside the home for a little baby organization… eek! I seriously can't wait to dig more into all the features on my new label maker. I'm loving the fun designs I can create! There is so much I can do with it and I can't wait to share even further with you.

How do you keep organized during the holiday season? Any tips welcome, clearly I've fallen way off the organizational wagon!

A label maker might be just what I need. No judgement here. My closets and garage look the same. I really need to get them into shape before my family comes up for the holidays. Labeling everything would make stuff easier to find and more orgnaized. Goood luck!
