Help Make Sure Every Girl Knows She too can be Unstoppable! #GirlsUnstoppable Dove G|veaway #sponsored

This is a sponsored post written by me on behalf of Dove & Kroger. All opinions are y own and were in no way influenced.

I often question why we, as women, struggle the most with self-steam issues. Is there something different we could be doing with our daughters', so they don’t suffer out-loud or in secret with insecurities about themselves physically and mentally?

We as mothers, and of course women, can have a big impact on our daughters’ lives by first finding the confidence within ourselves and leading the way for our daughters. I try to make mommy and me time for my daughter and I on at least a bi-weekly basis. We’ll paint each other’s nails and do our hair, but more importantly I like to take the time to instill in her not just her outward beauty, but the beauty inside all girls. It’s no secret I refer to her quite often as my princess and being a princess is fun! But, I want her to know that there are no limits to what she can achieve. I want to nurture all her qualities and everything she loves from science and math skills to outdoor sports.

There are too many girls out their lacking confidence because they are unhappy with their looks, style etc. And the sad thing is they base these feeling off what they think are society’s standards. Well Dove and Kroger are standing up and helping give girls back their self-esteem by providing open dialog and tools for parent and children to help ensure every girl loves who they see starring back at them in the mirror.

Make an impact in your daughter’s life by hosting a “Just Us Girls” night. Find something you both enjoy – cooking, arts & crafts, pedicures etc. – and use this time to have an uplifting talk about self-esteem. Additionally, you can download the Dove Self- Esteem Toolkit HERE to help with planning your night and for resources and topics perfect for your daughter’s age.

Help make girls unstoppable!

Every time you buy Dove® at Kroger, your purchase helps provide self-esteem programs for girls across the country. Already, Dove has reached more than 11 million girls, and with your help, they can reach their target of 15 million by 2015! Join in the discussion online by using #GirlsUnstoppable. Together, as moms, women, teachers, aunts etc. we can help create a world were girls truly have no boundaries. Were we can stand in the mirror and feel no anxiety, just love for every inch of ourselves.

What do you do to make your daughter feel unstoppable?

Constructive ideas and praise and even constructive criticism (if necessary).
Make them aware they are important and not to let them be in someone else power.
