Back in June, I made what I considered to be a bold move. We finally decided to drop our current cell phone provider and move on to a non-contracted service, Walmart Family Mobile. The motivation I needed was due to my older boys increasing need for a cell phone of their own. Upon looking in to adding them to our then existing plan, I realized something rather quickly. I could not afford to add them. Between purchasing new phones and the monthly service prices it seemed nearly impossible. What I needed was a reliable and cheap wireless plan.
After test driving Walmart Family Mobile powered by T-Mobile for myself. I was highly impressed and left wondering why I had been paying so much more for the same services with my previous provider? Since I was satisfied myself with the service and features it was time I made the move I had previously been dreading. I cut ties with my old provider and even felt secure enough to add my boys to my Walmart Family Mobile Plan.
This weekend we headed to our local Walmart to check out some phone options and to purchase a starter kit for $25, which included would include a new SIM card. After a little decision making my son was completely satisfied with the T-Mobile Concord. We grabbed the phone and our sim card and where ready for set-up. You can have your phone setup right there in Walmart, but since I was already familiar with the process, I opted to go home and activate the phone myself, online.
After sliding my new SIM card into place, I accessed my Family Mobile Online account, choose to add another line, entered my SIM card and activation numbers, and within 5 minutes his phone was activated. And since Family Mobile is postpaid service, it only cost me the $25 for a starter kit to get my sons phone turned on, and ready to surf, talk, and text! For a low price and great service I am now secure in knowing my boys can reach out anytime and anyplace they need me - plus there never left without something to do!
I’m excited to share with you our journey with the best wireless plan for my family and to bring you some personal experience with must-have features like parental controls! Stay tuned next month for my savings and features update.
