How to make Red, White & Blue Cupcakes

Ingredients:
  • 1 package white cake mix
  • 1 teaspoon blue food coloring
  • 1 teaspoon red food coloring
  • vanilla frosting
  • Red, white and blue sprinkles
Directions:

Prepare batter according to package directions.

In separate bowls combine 1 1/3 cup of batter with blue food coloring and mix - In second bowl again add 1 1/3 cup white cake batter with red food coloring and mix. You'll be left with remaining white batter in your original bowl.

Fill each paper lined muffin cups with about 2 tbs red batter, 2 tbsp white batter and 2 tbsp blue batter.

Bake at 350 degrees for 20-24 minutes or until toothpick comes out clean.

Cool at least 30 minutes and frost with vanilla frosting; decorate with sprinkles.

Great pics ~ you are a great cupcake decorator too! These are super cute! I wonder if I could make these as mini cupcakes without too much trouble? Would be good for my hubby's 4th of July potluck at work!
