Have you heard of Octonauts?  It’s an adorable kid’s show, which first appeared on Disney Jr. in January of 2012. It follows the daily adventures of a team of eight animals who live in an undersea base, the Octopod, from where they go on undersea adventures with the help of a fleet of aquatic vehicles, to save other sea creatures and their habitats.

Since my daughter first caught a glimpse of the show she has been a fanatic, the only downside was I was unable to find any Octonauts toys or playsets. And we all know when kids really get into a show they want everything associated with the show and characters; toys, blankets clothing etc. You can imagine my excitement, and my daughter’s, when I heard there was a new line of Octonauts toys by Fisher Price launching, and we were going to get the opportunity to check it out!

Explore! Rescue! Protect!

The Octonauts, Octopod is not only a habitat; it’s a fully-equipped vessel that has everything the Octonauts need for undersea adventures! This amazing playset will keep your little one more than busy, featuring two sides of play and loads of adventure!

Included with this playset are Kwazii and Barnacles figures, Octo-Alert, mini Gup-A vehicle, three creatures and four rescue tools. My daughter’s favorite feature however was easily the working Octo-Alert button.  Now she knows just when it’s time to spring into action, with a press of a button the alarm sounds letting the Octonauts now it’s time to get to work. Not only does the device attach to the top of the Octopod, but little ones can safely attach it to their belt or pant loop as well!

Fisher-Price Octonauts Vehicle with Figure - GUP B

Octonaut vechile

The Octonauts vechile, Gup B, is unique because it’s for use on land or water. So little ones can push it around or explore the deep seas in the pool or bathtub. Complete with character, Gup specific creature, tools and unique water activations and play.

Fisher-Price Octonauts Octo Compass

The Octo Compass was one of those toys that both my son and daughter were highly interested in causing a bit of a “power struggle” between them. I could see the appeal though…

Easily navigate your own deep sea expeditions with help from the Octonauts Octo-Compass. Featuring phrases from your little ones favorite Octonauts characters, Barnacles, Kwazii and Peso, each compass comes complete with creature sounds and, of course, the Octo-alert to signal the start of a new mission.

Fisher-Price Octonauts Action Figure Rescue 2-Pack - Barnacles and Tunip

Octonauts Action Figure Pack

Lastly we were sent a Barnacles and Tunip action figure set, which ironically is my daughter favorite character. These action figure sets are available in your choice of character featuring your favorite Octonaut figures, animals and rescue tools!

Overall, each product held its own special appeal and would make for a great gift for any Octonauts fan or a child who loves adventure. Boy or girl these set are fun and help encourage imaginative play.

My son loves this show. I didn't know they were making the toys. I'll have to pick up a set or two for his birthday. Awesome!

These are so cute. I have seen the show a few times at my sister's house. I think my nephew would love the Octonauts Vehicle. He could take it in the tub with him. Thanks for the review.
