Jump High and Land Safe

 Guest Post by Bounce-inc

What do kids love more than running, playing, making mess and screaming? That's right, it's jumping! Anything to keep them happy, right? One problem, as you watch the look of glee on their faces spread and become transcendental joy as the bounce higher and higher and harder and harder, you're probably wondering how safe they are as they come back down perilously close to those heavy metal springs which seem perfect for grabbing and trapping small fingers. Well At safe jumping centres like Bounce-inc free jumping, your fears are allayed.

Free jumping happens to be not only very fun, but also great exercise and a wonderful work out. Jumping is a really good fat burner. Indoor free jumping is a great thing to do for a kid’s birthday as it keeps all the children occupied and supervised, and it also teaches them acrobatic and aerobic skills that are used in sports like swimming, skiing, dancing and break dancing, and gymnastics. Of course, safety is such a high concern; you want it to be a priority.

Normally I would be alarmed to see kids jumping so high and oblivious to the risk they are taking, but bouncing in an area that is padded and guarded is very safe, and learning how to bounce with control is important. Just as long as you don't confuse it with the equestrian type of free jumping that is!

As a kid I always wanted to try a trampoline - is it too late now that I am (ahem!) 29??

These types of places are great for kids. It helps them a lot to get over their fear of falling also. We took our daughter to one and I was shocked at how much fun she had. It's funny that as parents we always think of the worst like broken bones and the kids have no fear.

We grew up being allowed to jump on our beds and I let my son and now, his son do the same. Every time my 2 year old grandson comes over he wants to jump on "Nano's" bed!

Once upon a time (50 years ago or so) there was a trampoline place in Greeley, CO. It was not very safe, but it was fun. It closed quickly.
