Good Bacteria Help Keep Things Running Smooth - Provella Give Away

Have you heard of probiotics? It was about 4 years ago that someone suggested to me the use of probiotics in an aliment affecting my children.  I was so impressed with the results that I decided adding probiotics to my daily routine was something I too could really benefit from.  Provella is a brand I was eager to try, as they are formulated special for women, so I was excited to learn I would be receiving a supply to try out through my partnership with Mom Central.

If you’re not familiar with probiotics you might think they would be concerned a vitamin or supplement. In all actuality Probiotics are not drugs or vitamins. Rather, they are live microorganisms, usually bacteria, which may benefit human health. Probiotics are referred to as friendly or good bacteria. The human body, and particularly the lower gastrointestinal tract, contains a complex and diverse community of bacteria that help to keep your body working properly.

Good or “friendly” bacteria are permanent residents of body surfaces such as the skin, the lining of the gastrointestinal tract, and the tissues that line the vaginal walls. These good bacteria comprise the body’s normal flora. Unfortunately, there are many things that can hurt these “good bacteria” and lead to negative changes is certain body functions.

For example, you become ill and the doctor prescribes you an antibiotic. That antibiotics job is to rid the body of bacteria, but it can’t differentiate between the good and bad bacteria so it goes after all the bacteria. As a result it’s possible for an imbalance to now occur between good and bad bacteria causing occasional gastrointestinal disruptions. With the use of Probiotics you can help regulate your system more efficiently.

While I personally think Probiotics are amazing, it’s important to note not all Probiotics work the same. Provella for instance has been designed with women in mind. Specially formulated to supplement their natural, native flora, Provella contains a proprietary blend of 6 bacterial strains chosen specifically for maximum benefit to women, including several strains of Lactobacilli and Bifidobacterium bifidum. In addition Provella is formulated using a patented controlled-release technology that helps protect probiotics from harsh stomach acid and is designed to ensure that live organisms reach the intestines, where they can begin working.
