Easter Egg Decorator app brought to you by PAAS and Heinz

There aren’t many childhood memories that my children and I share. Not meaning we don't now share memories together, but the things I enjoyed and provided me with such great childhood memories, have either disappeared or are no longer of interest to this the "technology" generation. When it comes to Easter and Easter traditions however, we do have one thing in common, the joy of coloring eggs and the memories made by PAAS and Heinz Vinegar.

Did you know that every year, Americans dye and decorate more than 180 million eggs during the Easter season? That is a lot of eggs! PAAS wants to keep your supplied with a wide variety of decorating choices and while you can still find kits that I remember from my childhood, they have also created several exciting new egg decorating kits, 3 of which we had the chance to check out.

Easter Egg Decorating Kits

My boys were thrilled to see the Volcano Explosion, a kit that uses melted crayon shavings to provide instant color. The Touch of Velvet kit had my daughter and I intrigued with double stick adhesives and flocking powder to create fun, fuzzy shapes on your egg; Decorating Doodles includes 4 food grade markers you can use right on the shell, using just your imagination to create, the possibilities are endless.

With all these fun new kits my kids were eager to try them out, even if Easter was still a few weeks away. So I sat them down broke out the PAAS cups and we got to work, creating more PAAS memories.

I like our eggs vibrant, so I added 3 tablespoons Heinz Vinegar to all the colors, waited for the tablet to dissolve and then added ½ cup of water. I should note we added less vinegar to the pink because my daughter was looking to create a pale pink.

Tip: To keep eggs from cracking, add two tablespoons of Heinz Distilled White Vinegar per quart of water before placing the eggs in the pot. The shells will also peel easier when they’re done.

What could make me love PAAS and Heinz even more?

Heinz Vinegar and PAAS Easter Egg Dyeing Kits have teamed up and created a fun, free Easter Egg Decorator app that’s available online via desktop or laptop computer, as well as through the iTunes App Store.

Make-A-Wish

Now through March 31st, when you decorate and share a virtual Easter egg with family and friends using the app, Heinz and PAAS will donate $1, up to 25,000, to the Make-A-Wish foundation.

The Make-A-Wish foundation is nothing short of amazing in my eyes, so please get creating and get sharing virtual eggs with all your friends and family. This is great fun for the kids and a fun way of teaching them how simple it can be to give back to those in need.

Remember, the more you share, the greater the donation to Make-A-Wish!

I  received above mentioned product(s) from Team Mom via PAAS and Heinz , for review purpose. Regardless, I only recommend products or services I use personally and believe will be good for my readers. My opinion is always my own and it no way influenced. I am disclosing this in accordance with the Federal Trade Commission’s 16 CFR, Part 255 Guides Concerning the Use of Endorsements and Testimonials in Advertising.

This is my toddler's first Easter where he is old enough to dye Easter eggs and I am excited. I'm going to run out this afternoon to try to find the products that you used. They look easy to use.

Love your Make A Wish egg... how totally clever! PAAS and Heinz are staples in our house, too and no matter how old the kids get, we still love dying eggs.

Using this app and money will be donated to the Make a Wish foundation. That is so awesome. And the only kit I use, and have been using for years is PAAS with Heinz vinegar! The colors on the eggs turn out the best!
