Gluten Free with Udi's

Over the past year I’ve really seen “going gluten free” take off. I didn’t really get it though. Why? Was it healthier, tastier? What was the problem with gluten that everyone seemed to be going in the opposite direction? Recently I was given the opportunity to learn about going gluten free and even try some gluten free Udi’s products.

So why does everyone seem to be going gluten free? Well for one thing, many find that gluten free living helps them feel and look better- and not just the people who have Celiac Disease or a Gluten Sensitivity.  People have reported increased energy levels, as well as a better ability to focus. That tired slump after eating lunch?  For many that “over-full” bloated feeling disappears after going gluten free. Gluten tends to be hard for your body to digest, which causes that feeling of tiredness. So when you avoid gluten, that excess energy can be diverted elsewhere, rather than your digestive system.

Celiac Disease is disease is a digestive disease that damages the small intestine and interferes with absorption of nutrients from food. People who have celiac disease cannot tolerate gluten, a protein in wheat, rye, and barley. For people with this condition gluten free is the only way to be. It’s hard enough to suffer from an infliction such as celiac disease, but imagine not being able to eat some of your favorite foods. Well, Udi’s is changing that. Whether you have to abide by a Gluten free diet or just find yourself feeling better overall without the gluten. Udi’s has the food everyone loves – minus the gluten of course!

About Udi's Gluten Free Foods:

Udi’s is determined to show you a new way to approach gluten free living.  Don’t waste another bite on bland, crumbly, and tasteless food.  We create delicious products that will fill your stomach and warm your soul.  We revolutionized the gluten free category by introducing the first gluten-free bread that tastes and looks like ‘real’ bread. Thanks to our loyal customers, Udi’s is the #1 gluten-free baked goods brand!

I was sent not only a great selection of bread, but some special treats nobody was able to resist. Now, I have to admit I was skeptical at first; I’ve always thought gluten free to be tasteless and bland, until I took that first bite of an Udi’s Gluten Free Chocolate Chip Cookie.

Of course chocolate chip cookies are my all-time favorite. I really thought this was the one product I would dislike the most becuase it couldn't possibly taste how a cookie should, right? Well, I actually found myself shocked by how much flavor they really had. After that I was heading straight for the brownies.

Moist and tasty just what we would expect from any good brownie. The bread was also very good. It had a slightly harder texture then regular bread that took a little getting used to, but we toast are breads most of the time so this was easily overlooked.

While we haven’t become completely gluten free, I now know its double with a little work. I always have that fear of losing my favorite foods when we make any changes to our diet. With Udi’s I can keep our favorites around without the guilt and without sacrificing taste. After all, if your favorite foods don’t taste good what’s the point?

What a great selection of gluten free products! I've been thinking about going gluten free for a bit to see how it works for me, and it's nice to know that there are tons of products out there that work with this dietary need.

I have tried Udi's and I can honestly say they are every bit as tasty as products full of gluten.

I've been seriously considering going gluten-free after learning more and more about how the wheat today just isn't the same as years ago. Udi's sounds like a good option.
