What you need:
- About 10 jalapeno peppers
- 1 package cream cheese, softened
- 1 cup shredded sharp cheddar cheese
- 4 green onions, finely chopped
- 1/4 cup all-purpose flour
- 5 egg whites, beaten
- 1-1/2 cups panko bread crumbs
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon pepper
- 16 ounces ( 2 cups) Sour Cream
- 4 green onions, finely chopped
- 1/4 cup lime juice
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic salt
Directions:
Cut of tops and then cut jalapenos in half lengthwise, remove seeds and rinse - always be cautious when dealing with hot peppers, watch your eyes etc. after your hands have touched the peppers. Place jalapenos on a baking sheet and Broil on high about 3 minutes per side;skin will start to blister.
In a bowl, beat cream cheese, cheddar cheese and onions until blended. Spoon mix into cool pepper halves.
Place the flour, egg whites and bread crumbs in separate bowls. Dresge jalapenos in flour, then dip in egg whites and coat with crumbs. Place on greased baking sheet; sprinkle with salt and pepper. Bake at 350° for 20 minutes or until lightly browned.
My Mother shared this recipe with me for our Super Bowl Party last year and it's been a favorite appetizer of my husbands ever since.

Sharing this recipe with my son. He loves jalapeno poppers!
Yum! I've made stuffed jalapenos wrapped in bacon, but these look a bit lighter. I love that they're baked, not fried. The panko must keep them very crispy. I can't wait to give these a try. Thanks!
i'm not a big fan of jalapenos but man these look great!

These sound really good. The dip sounds great too, for other foods too. The great thing about green onions is you can chop a lot and freeze, keep a stash for recipes like this!
