Do it yourself with Philips Norelco Hair Clippers

My husband without a hat is like a cat without fur, just downright weird to look at. He used to visit the barber more than I did the salon, until I finally asked why? I mean no one sees his hair! I guess he understood my point because for the last 7 years he has been a home hair cutter. In fact, he has even past the tradition on and we cut our boys hair at home too. The only problem, for some reason my husband insists on cutting his own hair without help from me. And now he uses my own words against me “I wear a hat, nobody will notice if it’s uneven.” However, I notice! And it drives me nuts. I may have found a solution though. The Philips Norelco Do-it Yourself Hair Clippers!

Do-it yourself hair clippers

Philips Norelco Do-it Yourself Hair Clipper Features:
•Shave or trim
•180 degree rotating head for 100% reach
•Range of length settings from 1 to 30mm
•Quick Charge Power System: 1hr/60 min cordless use
•Self-sharpening blades

The Philips Norelco Do-it Yourself Hair Clipper is a self-shaving head kit that gives out 100 percent results. The head part of the trimmer features 180 percent rotation that makes shaving or trimming easy – whether you’re cutting your own hair or someone else’s. The easy to use Philips 180 degree hair clipper can reach all sides of the head without difficulty. It comes with a precision trimmer attachment that enables trimming of side burns with hair line finish. The comb settings of the precision comb, regular comb and big comb can be set to the desired hair lengths from 1 to 30 mm. I didn’t realize how easy it was to change this setting and may have cut my sons hair a tad too short the first time we used the Do-it Yourself Hair Clipper, opps! Things worked out much better after I got more familiar with the settings and cutting their hair became a breeze.

The shaver clipper is also equipped with self-sharpening blades. The blades and combs have rounded edges for smooth and comfortable shaving. The trimmer clipper is easily washable under tap and the power from the charged lithium battery can work up to 30 minutes – you can also use the clippers while they are plugged in. The fact that they can be used portably without the wire is great. Now I can take the kids outside for a cut and eliminate the mess and my husband can  now give himself a complete cut without the unevenness, yay!

By the looks of these clippers I was really unsure at first. They were much different than we were used to. Overall though their unique style and 180 degree function really made these clippers stand out in a positive way. They are easy to clean, cut without pulling; reach the hard to cut places and even allow for self-trims.

I've clipped the hubs hair for years but he doesn't tip very well :) Of course, he says my barber side chair manner leaves a bit to be desired, too. This looks like a great unit!
