Learning on a New Level with #CypherKidsClub Cards #Cbias

I think technology can be a great resource for our children when it’s used in a positive matter. Cypher Kids Club has introduced not just fun, but educational content delivered in a futurist way my kids are going crazy about – Augmented Reality.

Cypher Kids Augmented Reality Learning Cards are basically 3D flash cards brought to life by your iPhone, iPod or iPad and a free Cypher Kids Club app. We are talking 3D on a whole new level, no glasses required just an amazing augmented reality experience geared toward teaching.

When I was alerted to the app I just had to check out the cards. I headed up to my local Target in hopes of finding a few adventure sets to surprise my daughter with.

I should point out that these card are not located in the toy aisle as I would have thought, apparently there is an entire section in the electronics department now dedicated specifically to app accessories. Once I located the Learning cards, I grabbed the animal adventures set and the letter adventures set - you can check out our entire shopping trip on Google+.

I chose these sets because my daughter has a true love for all animals and is struggling some with letter sounds. I thought the letter set would help her better identify the letters and their sounds, while the animal adventure cards would provide fun and knowledge about some of her favorite creatures.

With the cards in our hand we downloaded the app. While we waited for the app to download we were able to thumb through the cards and read some fun animal facts. Once our download was complete, we chose a card, then from the main menu we selected the card that coordinated with the one we had laid out in front of us. When the iPads camera scans the special 3d mark and a vivid one-of-a-kind world unfolds before your eyes! Check it out….

Wild Animal Adventures was the first set we tried out. Within this set kids can join in on the cypher adventure and watch animals come to life in the palm of their hand.  In explore mode you learn all about an animal’s habitat, habits and more. And as you move the card around you can explore animals at various angles. In the snapshot mode you can get a little crazy. Once a 3D mark has been scanned on the learning card you can transport your device around along with the 3D world. My daughter thought the parrot would feel at home in our dining room tree.

In Letters Adventures kids meet Digi and Beebot, Cypher’s dynamic robot duo, and watch letters come to life.

letter learning

Since my daughter has been having some problems remembering which sounds go to which letter this was the perfect set.  It’s exciting, interactive and keeps her wanting more.  Cypher entertainment is like no other; it is truly a positive teaching tool design to really involve the child and keep their interest piqued. I can only see my daughters skill improving from this point forward.

Buy It: Cypher Kids i3D Interactive Cards can be found at most Target stores for the SRP of $29.99

I think it looks like a great program! We often do a lot of traveling and something like this would be a great way to add educational entertainment on the go. My sister's children are younger and I will have to tell her about Cypher Kids.

Nice video, and I'm glad you added it to the review. I don't think I would have fully understood how the learning world was superimposed onto the live video. Maybe I'm easily impressed but... wow!
