When we made our move from New York to Florida a few years ago, we started over fresh and left all our big furnishings behind. I'm still trying to figure out if that was the smart choice to have made. We had so much to buy, that when it came down to a new bed for us we went the cheap route. After all, we were thinking how much could we sacrifice buying the cheapest mattress in the showroom? Let me tell you how much. Three years later we wake up every morning with severe back pain. It’s to the point I can barely fall asleep at all anymore. In fact, my husband has awaked many of nights to find me on the floor because it actually feels better than our mattress.
Every time we go to purchase a new bed something we deem more important arises. Well this year there will be no stopping us. We don't want, but rather need, a new bed. I can't even begin to tell you the pain I woke up in Saturday morning. I have taken to the couch and refuse to come back to bed until we have a new mattress!
After much debate and research, I am pretty positive I want to go with a Serta Mattress. I found one I really liked over at ShopNBC. I trust the name and my oldest son has a Serta that I often find myself catching a nap in. Soon enough I hope to rest soundly in my own Serta Perfect Sleeper "Distinction" Super Pillowtop Queen Mattress Set! I only imagine it will feel like a little slice of heaven compared to our horrible, horrible mattress. Combine with Outlast and Visco Memory Foam; I am really hoping this does the trick especially for my back. I put a lot of thought into finding the perfect mattress, I’m just hoping the Serta feels as good as it looks and sounds.
Last weekend we picked up a new bedroom set including mattress for my daughter, and today is the day we hopefully can grab something nice for ourselves. I’m so excited!!
What kind of mattress do you have? Would you recommend Memory foam? As excited as I am, I’m scared I will make the wrong choice, again!
