It feels as if the holidays are sneaking up on me this year. It must be true, the older you get the faster time seems to go because I swear Christmas was just yesterday! With that said, I have already begun my hunt for toys and games my boys will enjoy. As they have gotten older it has become increasingly difficult to find anything other than video games that appeal to them. They are still boys though and there are a few types of toys I know I can always fall back on, like racetracks. So part of that holiday hunt this year has been focus on more appealing and fun, tracks and cars that not only will my little guy enjoy, but my big guys too.
Hot for this holiday season we received the Micro Chargers Loop Track! While at first glance it might look like your typical track it’s packed with exciting feature that make it anything but typical.
Micro Chargers perform gravity-defying stunts on this track set, which includes one loop stunt race track, trading card, handheld charger and one exclusive quick charge Stunt Car. The first thing that you will notice is the mini or micro car. Don’t let this cars size fool you. These Micro Chargers take eight seconds to charge and race at scale speeds of up to 600 scale miles per hour!!
How is it made possible? Using the included handheld, battery-operated charger, kids charge the cars then launch them onto the race track where the car will whip through the loop and circle back around to do it all over again.
The downside with most racetracks – for me at least- is assembly time. I’m easily frustrated trying to figure out which piece goes where and getting the track to hold together. With the Micro Chargers Loop Track I was easily able to visualize and place together the track without any snags in about 10 minutes – or less. The launcher requires the use of two AAA batteries which are included, but should be replaced ASAP for maximum performance.
We also loved that the track offered endless possibilities as it is compatible with the Jump Track and Time Track sets (sold separately) making it possible for kids to construct a unique course. The line features more than 30 vehicles and two different car models - stunt and race- to collect and trade. My boys are at that age where they love to trade with each other and close friends. I actually try and find toys that give them the ability to add or collect additional parts to. This not only adds to the fun for them but extends the life of the toy by adding to the fun each time a new car, track etc. is purchased.
