PLAYMOBIL Take Along Soccer Set Review & Give Away!

Are you a fan of PLAYMOBIL? I certainly am, they have some amazingly fun playsets that are guaranteed to keep my children entertained. PLAYMOBIL has been a fixture in our home for years. I must say though, all though we have purchased many “role play” type sets we have never owned a PLAYMOBIL action/sports based set like the PLAYMOBIL Take Along Soccer Match.

This compactable and travel-ready Take Along Soccer Match includes a 22 x 33 inch field, soccer ball and other accessories described below.

The PLAYMOBIL Take Along Soccer Match is also equipped with 6 figures, 4 of which have a leg that kicks to propel the ball forward and 2 goalie figures that connect to goal joystick, allowing kids to control the goalies' - twisting and moving them from side to side - from behind the net. Another thing my children and I both thought was neat, was that we had the ability to choose a number for each "player" using the provided stickers. My kids each picked their favorite number (1-22) in either black or white and applied the number sticker to the front and back of the players jerseys.

Set-up was pretty basic and took no longer than 10 minutes. We simply unlatched the case, placed the two halves together forming a full field, applied stickers, created jersey numbers, assembled the goals and place the goalies on their posts. We were able to play in teams of one, but it was much simpler to play as a group – which was great for my family. There is a small lever on each field player allowing them to ”kick” the ball. Since their were six players provided even me and the hubby were able to get in a little family game time fun. It's not often we can all play a game at the same time.

The Mom in me really enjoyed the fact I was able to pack the set back up when we were through, into it's carrying case form -suitable for travel and under bed storage – keeping all the piece contained within.

This set is ideal for kids ages five to ten; because of small parts it is not recommended for little ones under the age of three.
