#B2S With Heely's - Skate or Walk the Choice is Yours!

Like most school years, this one started with a battle of the shoes. My boys are reaching that age were they want to express themselves in what they wear. Heelys Skate Shoes have been a brand we can all agree upon for the past few years. With their large selection of styles, each of my boys is able to be creative and express themselves with their shoes.

Until, this year the theme with my daughter has always been simple is better, but she has been dying to get her hands on her very own pair of Heelys. With this being her first year in school, I decided it was time to break habit and finally let her have a turn with her very own Heelys. I have to say I picked of year to reach for the Heely’s again, as they had not only just come out with their new spring/summer line, but had some fabulous styles lined up for the Fall and Winter as well.

What are Heelys?

Heelys feature a stealth wheel housed in the heel allowing the wearer to walk, run and transition to a roll at any moment. With the wheels out, these stylish sneakers look like any other. When you put the wheels in, you can lean back on the heel and start rolling - skate or walk the choice is yours!

How do they work?

Changing your Heely’s over from a shoe to a skate is simple. Insert the wheel(s) into the heel of the shoe, by simply popping out the inserts that covers the wheel holes and popping in the wheel. A tool is provided with each pair of Heely’s to aid in removal and insertion.

Style Galore

With so many styles of Heely’s available, I thought my kids would never decide. In fact the Princesses could not decide between her two favorites styles the Blossom and Harmony – she was very lucky to receive them both.

The Harmony style looks like a skate shoe but is much more. Designed with flowers and a peach logo, crafted with a comfortable, lightweight canvas upper, the Harmony features a single, stealth wheel housed in the heel, cushioned foot bed and lace-up closures.
These were put away for back-to-school but as you can see, they look and feel great.

The Blossom rivals my youngest sons Bolts. Both shoes are fitted with those famous light kids just seem to love, that light with each step. Even better, for younger wearers they feature hook-and-loop straps with elastic lacing, and two side-by-side ABEC 1 wheel bearings, and synthetic leather/patent upper with metallic and pearlized accents.

My sons have finally mastered the art of rolling on their Heelys, my daughter however is still frightened of falling – fair enough. No matter what, walking, running or rolling Heely’s are a favorite of this family, and have brought some fun and style to our home this back to school season!

Buy It: A few of you have asked me in the past where you can find Heelys. A lot of retail shoe stores carry Heelys, but if you can't find the style your looking for you can order directly from the Heelys site @

Those styles are too cute for the little princess! I think my daughter needs some of these to navigate around her 350 acre college campus. :)

These are super cute. My daughter isn't old enough yet, but I can't wait to get her a pair.

These are so cute. I love the various styles. I saw a pair on their site called jazzy and for some reason, I think my granddaughters would like them. They have so many cute ones to choose from I can see why the Princess would have a hard time deciding.

My grandson has a pair of heelys that he has had for a couple years now and he just loves them. He wore them to school without the wheels and when he got out of school he put in the wheels. When we received the shoes in the mail I couldn't believe how well made these shoes are. I would love to get a pair for my grand daughter.
