Yup, I'm already talking back-to-school - don't tell the kids! Between heading back in August and having four kids... Mama has to get a head start. We typically start the school year with 7 looks, meaning 7 shirts and 7 pair of pants per child. By the time we reach a little less then half way it's usually time for a whole new wardrobe.
Last year we purchased a few pairs of Lee Jeans for kids and I was surprised to find not only did they look great but they stood the test of time, as they were the only pairs of jeans I did not have to replace through the school year. As you can imagine, I was thrilled to add Lee Jeans to my back-to-school guide and introduce their fall boys line.
When it comes to styles for back to school my kids are limited to polo tops, but can get a little creative with their jeans - as long as there are no huge logos or designs. For this reason, typically, my boys are just happy to let Mom pick out their clothing since they don't have a lot of leeway. However, this year my oldest son started to have a few request when it came to jeans and sneakers. Since they don't ask for much, I was happy to oblige.
When I looked over Lee Jeans boys line I was quick to spot some Carpenter jeans I knew would be adorable on my youngest, as well as some better Bootcut jeans for my middle son. My oldest son wanted the dreaded skinny jeans. I call them "dreaded" because I am a total 90's girl. Hoodies and big jeans for guys was the only way to go and at the time I swore that would be the only route my own sons would take. The thought of skinny jeans for boys is kind EWW for me, but I do understand kids will find their own style for the times. Since I've never purchase skinny jeans before, I went with my sons normal size in Lee's skinny jeans for boys line.
As you can see, I probably should have went a size smaller. They fit his waist great and he wasn't complaining, in fact he loved them. I just thought they were supposed to fit skinner and therefore these were a bit too big for him - if he was happy though, I wasn't saying a word! To be honest, I think it's more of a length issue which has become an increasing problem. Jeans that fit his length tend to be too long and visa versa. I'm hoping he will hit that growth spurt anytime now.
For my youngest son I went with the Carpenter jean featuring the Sure-2-Fit waist band. He is another one in an awkward size, which is why the Sure-2-Fit waistband is a must. I have to say I loved these jeans on him and with a quick adjustment of the waist band they fit just the way he likes, with room to grow throughout the year.
The Lee Carpenter jeans for boys combine good looks with comfortable fit for your son. The Sure-2-Fit waistband gives you an inner waistband adjustment that allows for a more custom fit. The Carpenter styling features a loose fit with hammer loop on the left leg and cell phone pocket on the right leg.
My middle son (unlike my oldest) likes a lot of slack in his jeans, so I try and always go with a husky and Sure-2-Fit waist band. This way he can get the comfort he desires and I can make sure his pants aren't falling off!
The Relaxed Bootcut styling features a traditional five pocket styling but with some new styling cues like oversize back pockets and handsanded finishes. The Relaxed Bootcut jeans also come with a free nylon web belt!
Overall, I am 100% satisfied with Lee Jeans for all my boys and with Lee denim, they can count on great style and comfort throughout their lives. Don't forget to check out Lee's Fall line this back to school season!
