My children attend a semi uniformed school. They must wear plain polo tops, basic jeans or Kahiki style bottoms. They said this was partly to keep the cost of clothing down for parents, but I disagree. Since all the schools here are all of similar dress codes, store seem to inflate the price of their polo style shirts. With four kids I would be much better off shopping around for styles of our choice, but what can you do.
After the first year of buying tops, what seemed like monthly, due to poor quality clothing and three rough boys, I knew I had to find a better option for school shopping and came across French Toast.
When FrenchToast.com first popped up in my search engine, I was leery about clicking over, most shops specializing in uniform attire are even more pricey then my local retail shops. To my surprise, French Toast was priced reasonably and offered a wide selection of colors and styles. They have been our first stop for shirts and accessories for the past two years. Not only because of the pricing and selection though, but because their clothes are actually quality and last longer then a month!
Up until this year I have only shopped for my boys. However, the princess enters Kindergarten this year and she is already super picky about what she wants to wear - basically everything should be pink! Since all shirts must be polo style, I wasn't left with many pink options that won't make her look like she is wearing the same shirt everyday. French Toast had some great polo's, but they also had a wonderful selection of Peter Pan style blouses for a slightly different look and feel. And even better, they had them in pink!
While browsing through the blouses an ad for Adjustable Waist Tab Cuff Shorts caught my eye. They were too cute to pass up and perfect for that August heat my daughter will be heading to school in.
The shorts were true to size with an adjustable waist band for the perfect fit. The top was light weight and also perfect for the warm weather here, although, I found the top sizes to run slightly small.
For my son, I went with a teal short sleeved pique polo as well as an orange pique polo - his favorite colors. The polo's were everything I've come to trust about French Toast; vibrant colors, quality fabric and a great fit.
My sons outfit wouldn't be complete though, without a belt. Belts are an absolute must at his school! We try not to go over board with their belts, a simple black belt is all they need and that is just what we got.
Head back to school in style this year with French Toast!
