Rubbermaid Clean & Dry Plunger Review & Giveaway

Why this isn't the most pleasant topic to write about, I have a feeling I'm not alone. My children can stop up a toilet in a matter of seconds! And before I know it there is a disgusting mess of overflow left for me to tend to. If I'm lucky someone will let me know what is happening before it reaches the floor and I go running at full speed for the plunger. Although, the plunger saves me a pretty big clean up, there is nothing I hate more then plunging over and over to finally create enough suction. And when I finally get the water down, removing the plunger just leaves a trail of dirty toilet water for me to cleanup any ways. I mean is there really anything less sanitary then a plunger! What do you do with it next, rinse it in your shower? Place it down behind the toilet and watch as it creates a germ film ring on the tile? YUCK!

The new Rubbermaid Clean & Dry Plunger finally brings new innovation to the plunger category by repelling water for less mess. So how does it work you might wonder - I know I did. The Clean & Dry Plunger is coated in neverwet nanotech coating which repels water and germs, as well as other things.

I tested the plunger out before it got any "real" use in the sink and preformed a small test with chocolate syrup. You can see that the chocolate syrup kind of hovered above the surface. I didn't have enough syrup to be submerging the entire head into a bucket, but you get the point.

Next I filled the sink with some water and switched the plunger around. I found that the plunger had a slight drip to it still. Not a drip consistent with the mess left by my standard plunger, but I did find a wet ring left behind.

The suction on this plunger was really great though. It created a tight seal and unclogged my drain with ease.

Buy It: Available for purchase at Meijer, The Home Depot, Menards, Target, Wal-Mart and Rubbermaid.com at SRP of $12.99

I think I would have been challenged on writing a plunger giveaway too. LOL - I'm betting it is one of the most unusual (though practical) giveaway prizes you've ever had! :-)

I LOVE the no-drip idea. I hate using a plunger and then cringing as it drips who-knows-what-germs on the floor or anywhere else--yuck. This looks great!
