I swear my youngest son loves to hear himself speak, this could be a big reason why he is always asking for my video recorder - which is not happening. Learning resources has a great solution for our little hams which includes an educational factor, the MeCorder Mini Video Recorder.

The MeCorder is the perfect size for little hands and allows you to see yourself while you record. I almost wish my own video camera had this feature.

The MeCorder has 3 buttons; one to turn the device on, one to start and stop recording and one for playback. With the USB connector you can attach the MeCorder to your PC or laptop and download the recordings directly to your computer. The MeCorder also flashes to let you know there is a new recording that has yet to be viewed. This is great for messages between my children and since the MeCorder also has a magnetic back my son really thinks he is a super star placing the MeCorder on the fridge for everyone to view him.

The downside to the MeCorder is the short record time of only thirty seconds. My son more then once forgot to download his previous recording to the PC and erased something he wanted by moving on to the next recording. Also indoor videos are slightly dark - much like my handheld video camera. Your better off letting your child record outdoors in the brightness of the sunlight.
