Hill's Science Diet Ideal Balance - A Grain Free, Meat First Dog Food

When Bella first came home to us as a 12 week old puppy, I learned a valuable lesson fast - dogs will not eat anything! Bella is not only extremely picky, but is subject to bloating as a Boxer. Sometimes I think it's worse with her because she is so picky. When she finally finds something she likes, she eats like it's her first meal in years. While trying to find the best food for her we also noticed the foods with the main ingredient being corn grain really messed with her system, which at the time took Hill's Science Diet off the table.

Dog Food

I was thrilled to learn about Hill's Science Diet Ideal Balance blends of dog food which are corn free and couldn't wait to see what Bella thought. I introduced Bella to the new brand slowly since she has a sensitive tummy, by the end of the week she was a Science Diet dog.. Shoot she even looks a bit like the dog on the original bag :)

However, the bag we were sent for review was a corn first blend and not from the new line, so passed it on to the neighbor, whose dog is already on Hill Science Dog Food. Luckily our vet carried the Ideal Balance.

Hill's Science Diet Ideal Balance contains all natural ingredients formulated in precise amounts to provide the exact balanced nutrition your dog needs. It's important to find a dog food that provides the right balance of nutrition to suit your dogs needs. Not only was I happy that Bella actually took to the food, but Hill's Science Diet has a great selection for each of your dogs lifestages.

Hill's Science Diet Ideal Balance is a meat first formula, with that first meat being fresh chicken. It's also loaded with whole grains, fruits and vegetables and has NO corn, fillers or artificial colors. It promises a noticeable improvement in skin and coat in just 30 days - I'll let you know how it goes.

Science Diet also has a new Ideal Balance blend specially formulated for cats and kittens, which is also a corn free, meat first pet food.

Buy It: Purchase Hill's Science Diet Ideal Balance at pet specialty stores, farm and feed stores and veterinary clinics for $9.99 - $39.99 depending on size

I'll have to look into this for my 14 year old cat. See how she likes it.

Looks like she is really enjoying her food. Too bad you received the wrong kind. Allergies are frustrating. We are dealing with them with our cat. I will have to check this out.

My grandma would only feed her dogs Science Siet. When the family took over their care we tried to switch them but they weren't having it! They only eat Science Diet...they are the healthiest dogs ever!
