ARM & HAMMER Dry Carpet Cleaners Review & Giveaway

What can be worse then beige carpet and 8 muddy paws tracking across it daily? How about 16 muddy paws and 4 spill prone kids! Yes, with the addition of two new puppies are carpets officially stand no chance. If you have been a reader of mine you are probably tired of hearing me complain and are wishing just as much as I am that we get wood floors installed ASAP. Unfortunately, it will be at least another six months...sigh. Until then I must make due.

I'm always open to learning more about the latest carpet cleaning products and was thrilled to be introduced to Arm & Hammers new Stubborn Stain Dry Cleaner Pouch and Pet Fresh Stubborn Stain Dry Carpet Cleaner Shakers. I have never used a dry carpet cleaner before and was very curious as to how they worked.

Arm & Hammer Stubborn Stain Odor Eliminating Dry Carpet Cleaner absorbs allergens, eliminates odors and breaks down stains. The cleaning particles work like sponges to absorb dirt, tough spots and odors embedded into your carpet's fibers.  Arm & Hammer Odor Eliminating Dry Carpet Cleaner leaves your carpets clean, dry and ready for use. Let the suction power of your vacuum to do the work! Check out this video to see the cleaner in action!

Arm & Hammer Dry Carpet Cleaner

It seemed simple enough...... I sprinkled the dry powder over the stain, brushed it in and let it sit for at least 30 minutes. Then all I had to do was vacuum it up. For my first test I had to try it on some of those stubborn muddy paw prints, as that is my main stain problem. Being that it was a dry stain I spritzed it with water first, then applied the Arm & Hammer Stubborn stain remover, and let it sit. About an hour later I was ready to make my rounds vacuuming and also check out the Power of my new Eureka vacuum I was sent as a thank you - I love it!!!

Not only were the dirty prints gone, but it left a nice aroma.

Arm & Hammer Dry Carpet Cleaner

IDK why the carpet looks darker, maybe because the sun was going down??
However a bigger test emerged later that night as are central air unit became clogged and started to leak a murky mess of water onto our carpet. We quickly unclogged the line and I tried my best to suction out the excess water from the carpet, but from previous experiences me and my husband knew the carpet would be left with a nasty water ring. He brought up the idea of sprinkling the stain remover over the area and letting it sit over night - if nothing else we figured it would absorb some water and leave the area smelling fresher.

When I woke-up I seen the brownish yellow ring seeping through the white of the stain remover, I shrugged to my husband and said it was worth a shot. As I started to vacuum up the powdered stain remover, I realized the stain I seen was soaked into the powder, not my rug! As I sucked up the stain remover the stain disappeared with it. This alone made me a huge fan of this product. It saved a pretty decent sized area of my carpet and for that I will be forever grateful.

Arm & Hammer Dry Carpet Cleaners are safe on all types of fibers and fabrics, including wool rugs, and approved for use on all stain-resistant carpets - try it on the couch as well! With use in addition to your normal vacuuming routine,  Arm & Hammer Dry Carpet Cleaner also helps remove up to 70% more pet and dust mite allergens, mold, dust and mildew then vacuuming alone.

Buy It: Consumers can find Arm & Hammer® Dry Carpet Cleaners in the vacuum accessory aisle at Walmart and other national retailers. The 18-ounce shaker starts at $7.88, and the two-pound pouch is available for $12.99.

Win It: One lucky reader will win the Stubborn Stain Dry Cleaner Pouch (larger amount for whole home cleaning) and one of each of the Pet Fresh and Stubborn Stain Dry Carpet Cleaner Shakers (ideal for spot cleaning).

My worst carpet stain is when one of my cats throws up, (which occurs quite frequently) their dry food contains dyes that are reds to a range of orange colors so when they throw up sometimes it stains my carpet especially if I dont see it right away, but when I notice that one of them is getting ready to throw up I will chase them around the room with paper towels to catch it & this can be comical to someone watching me \ I dash around trying to lay the towels down under them but they are quick plus it usually spooks them when I approach them which causes them to run in a different direction, I've tried to buy food that is similar in color to my carpet because of the dyes but of course they are picky eaters & seem to prefer the brightly colored dry food, (Its like they want to irritate me) I've tried many kinds of carpet cleaners to get these stained spots out, usually some it does come out but I have stains that nothing has worked

Thanks for the great giveaway
