Wordless Wednesday - Flower Garden w/ linky

Not so wordless this Wednesday ;-) I spent Sunday with the DH removing the bushes and extending are garden. I am paying the price in the form of a MAJOR sunburn :( Any advice to stop the itch is welcome.

My pics aren't great of the new area, it's not totally complete and needs a power wash!

I forgot to take a before :)

Were the plaque is another pony palm will go

These trees were supposed to go in the garden area, but me and my husband are both impulse buyers. Turns out they grow to be 80 ft tall!

Yes, you have to pay attention to how tall trees will grow before you plant them. Good that you noticed before you put them near the house.

makes a big difference. tho the bushes if prickly work as good deterrents to anyone climbing in the window. Have you tried aloe vera plant ( you can use the juice from inside & lay the cut open leaf on top) to cool the sunburn?

Great pictures, you are doing a great job, I don't have a green thumb, I kill every plant I touch.

I am not a doctor, and don't pretend to be. What I use is Aloe, Aloe, and more Aloe. I have very fair skin and get burnt whenever I forget to reapply my sunscreen. For me, Aloe works wonders. I just keep reapplying and it takes the heat and burn away.

Looks good! I got a sunburn too this week. My husband says "Who gets a sunburn in April?" Not glad you have one, but glad to know I'm not the only one who does lol.

Looks great! And Aloe works great, I know they make something specific for burns with Aloe in it.

What a lovely yard!

That looks lovely! Y'all did a fabulous job! I like the 'before' photo. ;)Take an oatmeal bath for the sunburn.Use cortisone spray to numb the itch. Don't scratch it! If you're using aloe, keep the bottle in the refrigerator.

Blessings,
Kristine

You were busy! It looks great. We dug up an unruly flower bed a couple weekends ago and replaced it with a rock garden, complete with stone trim similar to yours, but in red. I look forward to less weeds. ;D
