Saving Money Online

I mentioned at the start of the New Year one of my goals was to become a smarter shopper and while I still have not master the world of in-store couponing or sale finding for that matter, I have scoped up quite a few online deals.

One of the things I quickly realized was I could find most of what I was looking for on amazon at a cheaper price then listed elsewhere. Due to the fact Amazon not only offers you there price which starts out typically less, then competitors but then you have the option of buying from individual sellers. Sometimes these sellers are above average in price but more times then none they are less. I find it like eBay without the hassle of bidding. You combine the fact that your already saving money with Promo Codes for Amazon and the super saving shipping, you can really rack in the savings!

I also have become a big fan of member only sites, like Mamas bargains, Totsy or Zulily - I say member only, but anyone can join, you just have to register. They offer daily deals with larger percentages off, you just have to be diligent at checking the site often. Often with a quick search you can find Zulily coupons and such to combine with what you are already saving. I find these sites best when shopping for the kids. Although you never know what they will offer day by day, they are worth a look because you can really find some steals.

Also don't leave the large department stores out and check out their sale listings often. You can often find great deals at Sears and Jcpenney through their clearance section. Again, when a great deal hits you have to act fast. I got a complete bedding set with throw pillows for a queen size bed last month, for just 7.99 and the set is beautiful! Also I recommend finding a good promo code site like CouponsCodes4u.com which updates often and has a large data base of stores. It helps to eliminate the search for a "valid" coupon and or promo code.

You cannot just save money in the US, but get discounts for Canadian stores using coupon codes as well. You can find some great bargains at your local stores combining sales price with coupon codes when shopping online. Just check out Coupons for Chapters Indigo.

Where ever you live and whatever you budget, we all like a deal. Take your time when making an online purchase big or small. Do a quick search to find the best deal including shipping and don't forget your coupon codes!

If you have to make a purchase right away and can't find a good deal then searching for the cheapest shipping is super important and don't get suck into faster shipping for a small cost. I often find with MOST store my items still arrive in a very timely fashion regardless. There are a select few out there, that will leave you waiting.

Yeah you can save a lot if Amazon prices are less than local prices. Its also good that vendors compete on price on Amazon which sometimes leads to lower prices on everyday items for the consumer.

I love Amazon's deals, but sometimes they're so good they make me end up spending more than I planned to.
