Summer
break is just two months away for us. I know many families will be hitting the
road and looking for way to occupy their children's time. The brand new, travel-sized, My Friendship Bracelet Maker Traveler™ is a great way to keep
young kids occupied and creative during long flights, drives, or even on just an afternoon at home.
When
I first seen this product I thought it might be a bit old for my daughter. However, I myself was intrigued, as it brought back so many memories from my own tween years.
We would sit on the playground with our box of string and spend the entire period
crafting friendship bracelets. As much as I really wanted to see if I still had
it, when I realized that MyFBM.com also had a My Ribbon Barrett Maker, I knew this
was a much better option for my daughter and her obsession with hair clips.
The
My Ribbon Barrette Maker®, has everything you need to create the perfect
barrette right at your fingertips! Including: loads of colored ribbon, beads, and clips, all
in a handy carrying case. With the My Ribbon Barrette Maker you can create the
perfect barrette to match your style or your BFF’s.
My
daughter was really excited to get started but I still had some concern she
would not grasp the concept; me and her sat and watched the video tutorial.

I
was really impressed with how easy and creative the set was. You simply weave
the two ribbon colors of your choice throughout the hair clip, the barrette maker holds the clip in place and number coded ribbon holders guide you as to
which ribbon gets weaved through next.
My
daughter had a few snags, but understand she is young. Overall though, I was shocked
at how well she did! The only part I had to help her complete was the addition of beads.
The ribbon needed to be cut on and angle to help thread it through the bead, the hole
within the bead is small, so it takes a bit of patience to work the ribbon through.
Here
is her first finished creation, what do you think?
I
can't finish this review without making mention of the company’s powerful and
inspirational video Inside Out, which asks kids to choose friendship instead
of bullying. This is just one of several cause this company is involved in all
equally important. I was really taken by Operation kids serve too, in which the
goal is to collect 14,000 Red, White, and Blue Bracelets for kids of military
families. Please head over a checkout all the great causes and find out what
you can do to help.
