Have you heard the news? Nickelodeon Floam and Gak is back and better then ever! Children of the 90's will remember that Floam along with Gak were two of the most popular playtime staples of the time, which provided endless fun.
Gak was loads of fun and super slimy much like it is today. However, some improvements have been made, making Gak even better then before including, a new easy to use and clean formula. My kids were more then happy to put both claims to the test.
Gak is more of a slimy lump of well... Gak, that you can mold, stretch, squeeze, roll and more. My boys really loved the different fart like noises that come from squishing Gak back into it's container at different angles. Keeping the Gak in it's container when it's not in use is a must for keeping it fresh.
I recommended playing with Gak on a hard surface like the kitchen table because it will stick to fabric - we learned our lesson the hard way.
Floam was another staple of the 90's and one I was must interested in. I bought my son Floam quite a few years agao and was very disappointed. It was so sticky you couldn't mold it in any way shape or form. All it did was make your hands a sticky mess. The improved Floam was also supposed to be easier to use and less messy.
I am happy to say that once you "work" the new Floam for a minute or two, the stickiness goes away and you are ready to create. New Nickelodeon Floam is an incredible, reusable molding compound designed to encourage creative expression. You can mold it into any creation your imagination can dream up. My children have always loved modeling clay and Floam took this to whole new level for them. Again, though I would recommended using Floam on not only a hard surface, but maybe one with a piece of wax paper covering it, since Floam starts out sticky.
Floam is great for getting children to use their imagination as what they can create is endless. Since my daughter is a bit younger, she found that she could turn things around our home into Floam art by simply covering the object with Floam!
