Imagine, Build & Play With K'nex

Does your child love to build and create? K'nex offers the next generation of building sets available for a variety of ages. Children love to create and build and by doing so they are able to inspire creativity and build self-confidence.

My children and I have had the chance to work together building quite a few K’nex sets. My boys love to construct. Unlike block based building sets most of the time K’nex feature moving parts, sticks and connectors, to create life like mini versions of children's favorite things - From Nascar cars to rip roaring roller coasters.

We had the chance to check out the new Super Cyclone Coaster by K’nex.

This set includes: 625 colorful K'NEX pieces, including a coaster car, motor, chain lift and track. When complete the track stands at over 3 feet tall with over 19 feet of twisting track! With the use of 2 AA batteries the set comes to life. The motorized chain lift carries the car to the top, and then you watch as the car travels through the twist and turns throughout the 19 feet of track. There is nothing more rewarding for a child then seeing their creativity and hard work come to life!

The directions are color coded and use photos. This was a little harder for us to follow then typical step by step worded directions, simply because of the size and the amount of pieces to this track. I tried to help but my son really wants to complete this one on his own.

He has been working on it a little at a time. The Super Cyclone Coaster is appropriate for builders and roller coaster enthusiasts ages 9+. I think this one is a little advance for a 9 year old. Also there are lots of small pieces if you have small children in the home.

The youngest love Knex. He builds all over the house...I have a roller coaster looking thing in the middle of my living room now!
