Eco-friendly Rooware - A Bio-plastic Line Of Kids Tableware

 Of course I was intrigued by the fact that not only was this reusable tableware eco-friendly but a bio-plastic. We have all heard the rumblings over the past few years about plastic, so I thought this was a really neat option for my kids – now to see how they felt.

We received an adorable Roobowl, from Rooware, featuring one of the four Roo characters – Lexi

This bowl is not just for toddlers as it grows with your child. Once the bowls handles are no longer necessary you can just snap them right off.  The same is true for the Rooplate, the divider will pop right off when your child “out-grows it”. 

My daughter loved the look and feel of the bowl, I loved the confidence that the BPA free, Phthalate free, PVC free, Melamine free bio-plastic gave me.

There are a few things to be noted with the line. Since the products are made of plant-based materials prolonged soaking isn’t recommend.  I wasn’t sure if the line was dishwasher safe, yet it of course made it’s way into the dishwasher and survived – more then once. Another thing to note is that it is microwave safe up to 45 seconds. It's possible I should have put together the fact that the line should not be soak for a prolonged period along with the fact it can’t be overheated, and denied my daughters request for easting soup out of her bowl. As soon as I transferred the soup from the pot to the bowl the character design immediately floated to the top. She was a little bummed but it was Mom’s fault for not thinking clearly....

Overall, it’s a cute, non-toxic, green way to please your child's want for fun tableware.
