Last Minute Stocking Stuffers - ICE AGE: A MAMMOTH CHRISTMAS

One of our favorite movies brings us a Christmas tale, just in time for the holidays. On November 26th ICE AGE: A MAMMOTH CHRISTMAS landed on Blu-ray and DVD from Twentieth Century Fox Home Entertainment and features the original voice talents of Ray Romano, Queen Latifah, John Leguizamo, Denis Leary and Sean William Scott.

Synopsis:
In ICE AGE: A MAMMOTH CHRISTMAS, America’s favorite arctic herd is busy decorating for the holiday season. In his rush to help, Sid destroys Manny’s favorite decorations. Manny is so upset he convinces Sid he is now on Santa’s naughty list. Sid, Crash, Eddie  and Peaches  take off for the North Pole to plead their case to Santa. Meanwhile, Manny, Ellie  and Diego, worry over Peaches’ safety and race to find her. Back at the North Pole, Sid and his crew accidentally destroy Santa’s Workshop on Christmas Eve, and it’s up to these new found friends to orchestrate a Christmas miracle.

This is a great family friendly film enjoyable to any Ice Age fans. It's also a great short film and (about 25 minutes) for younger children who are easily distracted. Of course we were provide with laughs in humor I could appreciate and the kids were still left with plenty of funny moments to call their own.

I really like the premises of the movie, in which the viewer is provided with some fun interpretations of how Christmas traditions came to be straight from the Ice Age - You know like why Santa uses reindeer, the naughty & nice list and of course the answer to why we top our tree with a star. Overall, it was an enjoyable short film for both children and parents.
