Holiday Guide To Gaming - Cooking Mama 4 for Nintendo 3DS

I first realized how much my daughter truly loved cooking games when I got my tablet. She was addicted to this basic cooking App, but unfortunately her little hands had a hard time with control on the tablet. I knew there had to be something better. That is when I came across the Cooking Mama games.

The all new Cooking Mama 4 for 3DS launched on November 15th for Nintendo 3DS. Slice, dice and serve your way through more then 200 3DS touch screen mini games with Cooking Mama, as she makes her debut on 3DS! With more tricks up her sleeve then ever she will magically transform kitchen newbies into master culinary artists!

You will preform all kitchen task form cleaning to organizing and of course cooking. With the ability to cook up to 60 dishes from simple sides to main courses, you'll be a pro in no time. And be on the look out for stunning 3D events that unfold as you prepare your meals. Work hard to achieve a gold medal or settle for the bronze and silver like I tend to do ;-)

Game Features:

  • Features Based on the best-selling Cooking Mama franchise that has sold more than 8 and a half million units in North America alone. Mama now has 8 skus on the shelf and has expanded across platforms from DS to Wii, iPhone and Facebook since the series’ first 2006 introduction.
  • Use the stylus as your ultimate cooking utensil to chop, slice, stir, knead, roll, toss and more in more than 200 unique mini games.
  • Use the 3DS gyroscope to cook in brand new ways:  crack eggs, balance plates of food, flip meals in a pan, grate cheese and more.
  • Watch kitchen mishaps unfold in comedic 3D events and work to save your mistakes with additional activities on top of each recipe step.
  • Create 60 mouth watering recipes including: Designer Cupcakes, Gourmet Popsicles, Takoyaki, New England Clam Chowder, Corn Dogs and Cherry Pie.
  • Combine any two recipes to make your very own delicious dish.
  • Become a true kitchen master with new time-based activities that let you set the table, wash dishes, clean up, organize, decorate, and more!
  • Recipes progress from simple to complex, from small to large dishes, so do your best to meet Mama's expectations and impress your friends. If your friends think your dish is delicious, you'll unlock another new friend!
  • Earn bronze, silver, and gold medals from Mama based on the quality of your cooking.
  • Customize your kitchen & dress up Mama with fun earned outfits and accessories.
  • Combine two recipes to make your very own delicious or unusual dish. A total of 416 different fantastic combinations.
  • Cook off with up to 4 players in Challenge Mode.
This game not only drew me in but was great for my daughter as well. I'm telling you she is better then me. She just might be my own personal chef! This will make a great gift for fans of the series, and first time players. A great addition to the newly formed Nintendo 3DS family.
