Disney's Prep & Landing Now Available

I mentioned early this week what a fan I am of holiday movies. Of course I have a long list of classic favorites but I'm always happy to check out a new holiday title and add it to the collection for years to come!

Prep & Landing is this year new holiday release, loaded with Christmas spirit, Humour and entertaining characters. In fact Prep & Landing is available for purchase on DVD as of today November 22, 2011!

Prep & Landing Synopsis:
An adorable holiday story about a high-tech team of elves who ensure homes around the world are properly prepared for their visit from Santa. After working for a tireless 227 years, an elf named Wayne (voiced by Dave Foley) is upset when he doesn’t receive an expected promotion. Instead he is partnered with an idealistic rookie elf named Lanny (voiced by Derek Richardson) to execute a special Christmas Eve mission. While on their journey, Wayne and Lanny encounter unexpected challenges that push them to their limits and ultimately threaten Christmas for children around the world. But in the end, these two elves work together to guide Santa through a raging snowstorm in order to save Christmas.

I was going to wait until Thanksgiving night to share this one with the family but I just couldn't resist. I loved the slightly more modern Elf look to Wayne and Lenny. It had a much more modern Christmas appeal, perfect for my kids. Oh, and the reindeer! Let's just say I was loving them.

I like to think I'm pretty "up to date" with things, yet some how the fact that Prep & Landing first debuted in 2009 as ABC TV’s first animated television special produced by Walt Disney Animation Studios, was a completely unknown fact to me. My son was super excited to see the DVD on our table and kept insisting he seen it - even while watching the movie. I kept insisting he was imagining things! Man, do I hate to be wrong. Maybe, this will be Mommy's lil' secret and I'll just keep telling him he is crazy...lol

That sounds cute. I didn't realize this was released in 2009 either. We won't tell. It will be our secret. :)
