We considered a lot of things when we bought our home, one thing I obviously did not consider enough was the carpeting. With two dogs and four kids, wall to wall light beige carpet is not something we should have - Right now it is something that I have to live with though.
I went from being quite creative in stain prevention and removal, to just flat out giving up. Removing stains really is a never ending battle. I get muddy paw prints tracked through my living room daily and my kids spill just as often. I feel like I have tried it all. I have spent more then my share of time on the floor scrubbing away. Obviously, as a Mom of four, every spare second is precious to me. Spending 20 minutes scrubbing my carpet for a stain to not even lighten up, has just become a total waste of time.
When I heard about new Bissell Stomp N Go carpet cleaning pads I figured why not give them a shot, I've tried almost everything else. Bissell Stomp N' Go pads use a powerful oxy-based formula, on pre-moistened pads. The idea behind them is quite simple and one that I was immediately behind. Simply place the pad on the stain and stomp on it. That's right no spraying, no scrubbing and you don't even have to get down on the ground.
So far they sound great right? I thought so, but I was still very skeptical as many carpet cleaners that requiring a lot more effort have failed me before. I decided to test the pad not only on a fresh stain ( I knew it was just a matter of time before the kids provided me with one of those) but I also figured why not give it a shot on a set in stain as well.
About two months ago my son spilled chocolate milk made of 99% chocolate syrup 1% milk on the rug in my computer room. I tried soaking it, foam cleaners, powder cleaners and a steam cleaner and well this is what the area looked like....
Now realize this is one of the first things you see when walking in my home. My logic is usually if the steam cleaner doesn't remove it, it's not going anyplace. Well, I decided to give the Stomp N' Go Pad a shot. I dropped it, stomped it and lifted just to see if it was doing anything.
Well hey, there was some brown on the pad! Could it be removing the stain? I really squished the pad into the stain and let it sit over night ( as recommended for stubborn stains) and you can see here how it turned out.
You can still see a bit of the stain, but this is 100% better then what it looked like. Unless your looking for it, you can't even notice it. This had me really excited about Bissell's new Stomp N' Go Pads! Now I just had to wait for a fresh stain, good thing my kids and dogs don't like to let Mommy down...
They were enough to leave me this nice blue melted ice pop. You want to know a secret? I was a little excited to see a spill to try out the Stomp N Go pads again. I placed the pad over the stain and once again stomped away. A few hours later I lifted the pad and voila, no more stain.
I guess by now you should know Bissel Stomp N' Go Pads have made a fan out of me. They will definitely be an item I keep on hand for quick, effortless clean-ups. Bissell Stomp N' Go pads are made to be safe on all carpets including nylon, wool and stain resistant carpet - I always spot test first though. Typical stain removal time requires the pad to sit for a least a half hour, longer on stubborn stains.
