Are You Still Shopping for Halloween?

I'm still a big kid. The holidays that bring joy to my kids, also excited me just as much. In fact as much as I dread walking blocks and blocks in are very dark neighborhood, I can't wait for Halloween. I love seeing my kids get all dressed up, walk out that door all excited,  knock on the first door and get all shy. Some how I'm always the one yelling out Trick 'Or Treat - We may have to work on that this year.

Trick Or Treat

I am relieved though that we finally have everyone's costumes and the yard all decorated. All that is left to get is a few accessories. My middle son chose the kids costume, Thor. I still have to get him the Thor hammer because he can not go out without one. Did you know that Thor can't go out without his hammer? I didn't until my son informed me, so I obviously have to get him one - good thing he told me ;-)
Actually, I might order it in a few minutes, Pure Costumes has the official Marvel Thor Hammer on sale right now for $11.95 and from what I have been pricing that definitely seems fair.

My daughter has switched costumes about three times now. One of them she really liked but I insisted on shopping toddler costumes and she has moved up to big girls sizes (Insert sad face here) Unfortunately the costume wasn't sold in a larger size, so she went with a sort of punk pirate type costume. It's actually very girly in a way and suits her well. Of course she seen a photo of a pirate, with her pirate sword and now she has to have one. She has a little pirate handbag that I thought was more appropriate, but according to her, that is where a girl pirate keeps her sword. You have to love the way kids think.

My other two kids are all set (I hope) they have their costumes and whatever they needed to accessorize. I myself picked up a simple flapper costume from the teen costumes. I had planned on at least matching my daughter and was hoping to get at least one of my sons into an old time gangster costume. However no one ever wants to play with Mommy, so I haven't decided whether I will wear the costume or not. Of course it is the only day of the year I can get away with dressing up at my age, so you will probably get to have a laugh when I posts my Halloween photo's.

Do you get dressed-up for Halloween? I would love to hear what your going to be. What about the kids, have you finished shopping for them?

I always wear a festive Halloween sweater. I did want to dress up this year but the kids were not happy with that plan. Figures. But, once they pick a costume, that's it. My daughter wanted to go as Lady Gaga but I told her, Nope. Her costumes are not made for cool weather!
