Dermarest OTC Psoriasis Treatment Review & Giveaway

About two weeks before the start of the school year, my son appeared to have gone to bed fine and woke up with some kind of rash. I soon as a pulled him near I knew immediately what it was - Psoriasis! What made it even worse is the fact it was located on his ear and side of his face, and just in time for school...UGH

I felt horrible and new I had to find something that worked, kinds can be cruel and I didn't want him starting school with this. I turned to cortisone creams and while they did take away some of the redness and itching, it didn't seem to be healing the ear any. A review opportunity for Dermarest couldn't have come at a better time.

What is Dermarest? For those who don't know, Dermarest is a over the counter treatment line for Psoriasis and Eczema. Helping treat symptoms including itching, scaling and redness. We were sent Dermarest Medicated Shampoo, Moisturizer, and Skin Treatment.

Dermarest Skin Treatment has a unique Zinc complex to control and relive scaling, flaking, and itching while reducing redness. I did notice right away that Salicylic Acid was a main ingredient. I applied it to my sons ear in the morning before school since it was a clear gel. He did complain it stung for the first few minutes of application, but then he followed up with telling me how much better the itching was. For an afternoon and evening application we went with the Dermarest medicated moisturizer.

The Dermarest Medicated Moisturizer was more of a lotion form. This highly moisturizing formula includes skin conditioners to soften and soothe severely dry, irritated skin. With regular use it is said to help prevent recurrence and minimize flare-ups. Believe it or not I could notice visually an improvement in his condition with-in a day. We continued use of both products for the next two weeks until it was completely cleared up. I am now using    the Medicated Psoriasis Moisturizer on him daily to help combat flare-ups.

I could not have been happier with this product. We did not use the shampoo only because of his age - I was afraid I it would get in his eyes and he would freak, plus I didn't notice any Psoriasis on his scalp. If you or someone you know is battling with one of these skin conditions I would absolutely ask you to take a minute and look into Dermarest.

Buy It: Purchase Dermarest at your local drug store. You can print a 1.00 off coupon on the Dermarest website.
