Danimals Rally For Recess

As a mother I of course want healthy snacks to play a role in my children's diet. The hardest part about getting my children to eat healthy is getting them to try it. Lets be honest most snack foods of the 'not so healthy' nature have packaging that scream out from the shelves with fun characters, colors and all around appeal toward children. Yet healthy snacks are usually in simple packaging then scream to the child this can't be good. Of course that isn't the truth, but It can be in a child's mind ( at least it's true with my kids).

Danimals yogurt by Dannon defies all the healthily food stereotypes. There packaging is bright bold and fun, and the taste is one rarely a child will refuse. Danimals has fun yogurt varieties like the crush cup, coolisions and smoothies. Not only do Danimals taste good but they are loads of fun for kids to eat (or slurp). My kids are big fans of the coolisions but this time around I decided to have them try the smoothie variety instead.

Danimals® Smoothies come in fun little bottles that kids just peel open and drink. Danimals Smoothies are available in a 6 or 12 pack. Having a large family we of course opted for the 12 pack. Danimals are a wonderful source of calcium, especially for children like mine whom refuse milk.
As you can see my daughter enjoyed these a lot - In fact, we had to go buy more because she drank a 12 pack before her brothers even got to have one!

Danimal lovers can now rejoice in the fact that not only are Danimals a great healthy snack option for our children, but eating Danimals can now help win your school a brand new playground with the Rally for Recess Campaign.

Did you know that Government and public health agencies recommend children engage in at least 60 minutes of mild to strenuous activity daily? In this age of video games, TV, and Internet it has become increasingly harder for me to get my children out and active. It certainly is nothing like when I was a child. Beside that I spent every minute I could outdoors, I also remember have a huge playground with plenty of equipment as well as ample space to run and play.  I personally love the idea of recess in school and think every child should have the opportunity to be provided with ample time daily for recess and be provided with safe, fun and stimulating playground equipment.

I think physical part of the school day can be equally important as the mental part. In fact I believe the two play off each other in certain ways. Kids will be kids, and by mid day I think it's nice to give them a break and let them "run it out".  My doctor is always telling me that exercise helps not only improve your physical body but it's great for the mind as well. If this is true for me isn't it true for my kids as well?

Danimals Rally For Recess Campaign teaches a bit of healthy competition, pitting school against school in a battle for the grand prize of a playground makeover and an ultimate recess day. This all-day recess party might include activities such as a climbing wall, a dunk tank, an obstacle course, or a giant slide. A total of five schools ( one for each category) will receive this wonderful grand prize package!

So how do you take part? It's simple - head over to Rally For Recess, sign up and choose your school. From that point on whenever you purchase specially marked packages of Danimals products you can redeem your purchase code online at rally for recesses. At the end of course the school(s) with the highest points entered wins!

I was surprised to see how interested my son was in this campaign. I hope he spreads the word at school and helps get more parents and children involved.

“I wrote this review while participating in a campaign by Mom Central Consulting on behalf of Danimals and received a gift card to facilitate my review and a promotional item to thank me for taking the time to participate.”

We love Danimals at our house too. Not only do they taste good, I feel good about letting the kids have one for a snack.
