Step 2- Extreme Coaster Review

I've mentioned before that Step2 has always been my go to brand for not only quality toys, but for toys that inspire imagination, creativity and pretend play. Step2 Always seems to kick it up a notch when it comes to fun - And with the new Extreme Rollercoaster they have not disappointed.

The Extreme Coaster is the ultimate in backyard toys. Featuring double-wall construction and built in wide steps for added stability. Now your child can take all the fun of a classic theme park ride to their own back yard!

The Extreme Coaster arrived in three large boxes and set up does require plenty of room. These boxes include 9 feet of non-slip step track; High platform with safety rails and car. This was definitely one of those items I was leaving up to my husband to build. With the use of a power drill it took him about 25 minutes to complete set up.

Children are able to easily push the car up the track while using the wide steps to walk up. The easy entry car allows for balanced mounting and riding, holding up to the recommended 75lbs! Car features handgrips, footrest and highback seat.

This is where I tell you that I OF COURSE being a good Mom I am, I Had to test out the tracks safety first  by giving the Extreme Coaster a test drive. Man, even I had fun. I would have absolutely LOVED this toy as a kid. This was one of the most imaginative and fun outdoor toys I have come across in a long time.

After I was sure the track was safe ;-) My daughter climbed aboard and took off - again and again and again! My boys had to fight for their turns. I loved that it easily fit all my kids. And even with their large age range they each enjoyed it equally as much. The track is high enough to provide kids with a thrill, but not to high that I worried about injury. Same with the speed. It was fast enough to provide a thrill (even for me) but it was a safe enough speed that I personally found it OK to let them ride without the use of a helmet, when riding the coaster properly.

This product is built with quality, in that hard plastic that makes Step2 toys what they are. When I buy Step2 I know I'm investing in a toys, playhouses etc that can withstand the abuse of all my kids and will be here for years to come.
