Capresso - PerfectTea Kettle

I used to be a big coffee drinker. I'm not really sure what changed but one day I just decided Tea sounded better. My husband however still needs his morning coffee but is also a fan of Tea. For the longest time I had been using the Microwave to heat my Tea water. My stove, although only a year old seems to take FOREVER to boil a pot of water.

Well thanks to Capresso I have been enjoying a nice hot cup of Tea in a matter of what feels like mere seconds. Capresso Sent me the PerfecTea Water Kettle. Now I have to admit at first I didn't really get it. The Capresso PerfectTea Kettle features a base in which the tea kettle sits upon. You then set the temperature and watch your water boil. What I didn't get was why the base? Wouldn't it be just as easy to set it on the stove. Well, I was quick to realize how much better this system was. I could NOT believe how quickly the water boiled, compared with setting your tea pot upon the stove. I also loved the fact you could choose your temperature setting, creating the perfect cup of tea hot chocolate etc.
The Capresso PerfecTea Kettle is a cordless tea kettle with five temperature settings. With a turn of the knob, choose one of five temperature settings: 100°, 160°, 175°, 195° or Boil. Just press the button and the unit begins heating the water. Inside the Tea pot is a stainless steal dome on the bottom, hiding the heating elements -which boils water not only faster but saves energy compared with a stove top kettle. The Kettle being made of durable and scratch-resistant Safety Glass with matte black and stainless steel accents, has a more modern look and feel. You can also watch the water boil and markings allow you to measure out exactly how many cups your boiling.
The speed of the boil really amazed me, and I now find myself not only using the PerfecTea Kettle for Tea... but soups and gravy as well. It is so much simpler and time efficient for me to boil my water via the PerfecTea Kettle, then by stove or even the microwave. The base of the pot has a protective ring so you can rest the pot down on the table or counter top, without fear of burning the surface. The kettle also features dry boil protection shutting off when there is no water in the pot, cool touch handle and drip free pouring design.
Accompanying the kettle is guide to the perfect Tea, concealed in a slid out draw on the base. This guide provides the ideal temperature settings for Black Tea, Oolong Tea, White Tea, Green Tea, French Press Coffee and water for warming.
This is one of those product I probably would have normally missed out on, figuring what real use did I have for it. I was so impressed with the PerfecTea Kettle. This product would make a wonderful gift for a Tea lover. My husband actually asked me last week to remember to order this Kettle for his Mother for Christmas. The PerfecTea Kettle might not be a product you immediately see a need for, but I promise will make a great addition to your kitchen. With faster boiling, great look, design and added function. This is definitely a product for the Tea lover in you.

This product looks great. I have one but the heating element is inside the pot. I like this one with the base more. Thanks for this review.

I don't drink tea but I would use this all the time to drink hot chocolate. Yum.

Great review, that is a really nice teapot. But for that price I think I can deal with just heating the water on the stove in a pot. If I got this free or on sale, that would be awesome.
