How To Survive 3am Feedings

This really made me LOL! Why because after four kids there is nothing that holds more true - Trust me if your a Mom just take a look...

In this newest webisode "3am Feeding" Evenflo takes a humorous look at the challenges associated with late night feeding and the ‘your turn’ routine that often occurs between spouses. This only worked for me with baby #1. My husband is a wonderful Father but I wouldn't say we took "turns" at night. And when we did this video hits the nail on the head as to what it was really like.

Would you believe that when Evenflo asked a panel of moms about who was responsible for feedings throughout the night: a whopping 74% of moms reported the responsibility lay with them, while only 5% reported having a set schedule with their spouse to share the responsibility. With that 27% of moms are so tired that they’re actually concerned they might fall asleep during the feeding itself. Thirty-five percent of women surveyed admitted to waiting only about 10 minutes after feeding (vs. the recommended 20) to lay their babies back down if they hadn’t burped, and an additional 23% say they were too tired and waited only a few minutes.

I admit I DID fall asleep a few times only to awake to find I was feeding my babies nose!

Who did the majority of night time feedings in your home? And did it make a difference if it was your first child or not?

Lol funny video..i've always done all the feedings..i nurse, and then at the end when there were bottle feedings at night, i'd wake up first anyways, and since hubby had to be rested enough to drive an hour to work in the morning, it just made more sense for me to night i'd have one bottle with the water already in it, the measured out formula nearby, just dump, close, and shake..never heated their bottles up (and i'm one of the moms who try to burp for about 30 seconds, then put baby back down..unless i'd fallen asleep nursing and wake up an hour later..oops)

I'm very lucky, ever since my son turned about 8 months old my husband takes care of the night and/or early morning feedings on his own and lets me sleep! I think he felt bad for me because I had to stop breastfeeding and then it just became his routine. He also works a lot so it's a way to bond too.

Too funny! I did the night time feedings since I stay home. My husband took the 5 am feedings until they slept in later.
But my first slept through the night at 6 weeks and my twins slept through the night at 10 weeks. Everyone slept for 12 hours (7-7ish) by 3 months.

LOL I've fallen asleep while feeding, too.
